It is one of the most highly anticipated natio<\/em>nal holidays because lots of people can make plans for travelling during the 7-day allotted vacation time, thus it is also called \u9ec4\u91d1\u5468(huáng j\u012bn zh\u014du; Golden Week).<\/strong> <\/p>\n

It became popular on the internet in recent years, and has become widely used by young people. It now also refers to a group of people who spend co<\/em>nsiderable time on indoor pursuits, such as computer gaming and web surfing, sleeping and watching TV.  They seldom go out, but instead stay at home all day long. For example, "\u5b85\u7537"(homebody boy),"\u5b85\u5973"(homebody girl).<\/strong><\/p>\n

"\u901b<\/strong>"is a verb; it means "take a stroll" or "hang out", for example, "\u901b\u8857<\/strong>"(go shopping), "\u95f2\u901b<\/strong>"(stroll). "\u600e\u4e48\u4e0d…"<\/strong> is usually used to start a suggestion; it is equivalent to "why not…". For example, "\u600e\u4e48\u4e0d\u53bb\u901b\u901b\u5546\u573a<\/strong>\uff1f"means "Why not hang out in a shopping mall?"<\/p>\n

The literal translation of "\u4eba\u5c71\u4eba\u6d77<\/strong>" is "people mountain people sea", and the idiom is used to describe "huge crowds of people".<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
