(Ta shi laoshi ma?)<br \/>  \tYajie: T-a, first tone, \u5979, means she. The next word, sh-i, fourth tone, \u662f, which means is.<br \/>  \tCam: \u662f, sh-i, is.<br \/>  \tYajie: Next, \u8001\u5e08, which means teacher. \u8001\u5e08 (laoshi).<br \/>  \tCam: \u8001\u5e08 (laoshi), teacher.<br \/>  \tYajie: \u5979\u662f\u8001\u5e08\u5417? But when it&rsquo;s followed by a Chinese character which is pronounced in the fourth tone, then\u4e0d(b&ugrave;) is changed into b&uacute;, the second tone.
