Several explanations have been offered for its unusual name; perhaps the most common is that the brand name comes from a childhood nickname of the founder, <em>Gao Guiyou<\/em>(\u9ad8\u8d35\u53cb, G\u0101o Gu&igrave;y\u01d2u), given to protect him from bad luck.
