If someone is mentio<\/em>ned by others with the word of \u6ca1\u5fc3\u6ca1\u80ba méix\u012bnméifèi, it has no indication of one being deformed in any ways. It’s actually a Chinese ex<\/em>pression that describes one as “not sensible”, “not considerate” or “not caring”. \u5fc3\u80ba x\u012bnméi (heart, lung) in Chinese culture usually symbolizes the place wher one’s co<\/em>nscience and feelings reside.<\/p>\n

If  \u6ca1\u5fc3\u6ca1\u80ba méix\u012bnméifèi (lit. no heart, no lungs) is used in serious tone, then it’s serious criticism. If it’s used in a more relaxed, half kidding tone, then it’s not a serious accusation. I’ll show you the difference in the following two examples:<\/p>\n

    \u73b0\u5728\u7684\u5c0f\u5b69\u5b50\u53ea\u4f1a\u6ca1\u5fc3\u6ca1\u80ba\u5730\u73a9\u3002<\/p>\n

    Kids nowadays care a<\/em>bout nothing else but playing. (in a kidding tone)<\/p>\n

\u6ca1\u5934\u6ca1\u8111 méi tóu méi n\u01ceo (lit. no head, no brain) is another word that co<\/em>nstructed in the similar way . \u6ca1\u5934\u6ca1\u8111 méi tóu méi n\u01ceo means “doing things without careful thinking“. For example,<\/p>\n

    w\u01d2 shénme y\u011b méi wèn jiù méi tóu méi n\u01ceo dì g\u0113n t\u0101 z\u01d2u le\u3002<\/p>\n

    \u6211\u4ec0\u4e48\u4e5f\u6ca1\u95ee\u5c31\u6ca1\u5934\u6ca1\u8111\u5730\u8ddf\u4ed6\u8d70\u4e86\u3002<\/p>\n

    She stupidly kept making the same mistake.<\/p>\n
