His courtesy name is Mengjian. He wrote The Book of Han during 20 years of effort. He was promoted to Xuanwu Sima, and then compiled Baihutong Delun. He was later enlisted as Zho<em><\/em>nghujun (Military Chiefs) to Xio<em><\/em>ngnu (Hun). His association with military defeat led to his impriso<em><\/em>nment and death.
