Sohu.com has announced that it will add 20 American TV shows to its streaming-video site, including hit late-night talk show "Conan" and TV serial "Extant".

The company’s CEO, Charles Zhang, announced (\u5ba3\u5e03) <\/strong>the new line-up of U.S. programs(\u8282\u76ee)<\/strong> available on the site during a<\/strong> press co<\/em>nference(\u65b0\u95fb\u53d1\u5e03\u4f1a) <\/strong>in Beijing on Tuesday .<\/p>\n

After successfully introducing China’s o<\/em>nline viewing audiences\uff08\u89c2\u4f17\uff09<\/strong>to classic sketch comedy show\uff08\u7ecf\u5178\u559c\u5267\u79c0\uff09<\/strong> "Saturday Night Live" and hit daytime talk-program(\u70ed\u64ad\u65e5\u95f4\u8131\u53e3\u79c0),<\/strong> "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", Zhang said he was "delighted" to start officially carrying "Conan" in its American line-up.<\/p>\n

Among the 12 exclusive programs\uff08\u72ec\u64ad\u8282\u76ee\uff09<\/strong>that Sohu is offering are director\uff08\u5bfc\u6f14\uff09<\/strong>Michael Bay’s "The Last Ship" and actress\uff08\u5973\u6f14\u5458\uff09<\/strong> Halle Berry’s television debut\uff08\u5904\u5973\u79c0\uff09 "<\/strong>Extant". The other eight non-exclusive shows(\u975e\u72ec\u5bb6\u8282\u76ee)<\/strong> include "Ray Donovan"(\u300a\u6e05\u9053\u592b\u300b)<\/strong> and "Masters of Sex"(\u300a\u6027\u7231\u5927\u5e08\u300b).<\/strong><\/p>\n

In May, four U.S. shows, including "The Big Bang Theory"(\u300a\u751f\u6d3b\u5927\u7206\u70b8\u300b),<\/strong> were ordered to be taken off Chinese video-streaming sites by China’s media watchdog.<\/p>\n

When asked a<\/em>bout the risk of the shows in Sohu’s new line-up being taken down (\u505c\u64ad)<\/strong> in similar fashion, Zhang said that the removal of the four shows in May was an "isolated incident"(\u5b64\u7acb\u4e8b\u4ef6).<\/strong><\/p>\n
