This tradition has deeply rooted in every Chinese&rsquo;s heart and become a folk culture.<br \/>  \u5e74\u591c\u996d\u53c8\u79f0\u56e2\u5706\u996d\uff0c\u662f\u519c\u5386\u9664\u5915\uff08\u6bcf\u5e74\u6700\u540e\u4e00\u5929\uff09\u7684\u4e00\u9910\u3002\u8fd9\u4e00\u5929\u4eba\u4eec\u51c6\u5907\u9664\u65e7\u8fce\u65b0\uff0c\u4e00\u5bb6\u76f8\u805a\uff0c\u5171\u8fdb\u665a\u9910\u3002\u4e00\u5e74\u4e00\u5ea6\u7684\u56e2\u5706\u996d\u8868\u73b0\u51fa\u4e2d\u534e\u6c11\u65cf\u5bb6\u5ead\u6210\u5458\u7684\u4e92\u656c\u4e92\u7231\uff0c\u8fd9\u79cd\u4e92\u656c\u4e92\u7231\u4f7f\u4e00\u5bb6\u4eba\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u5173\u7cfb\u66f4\u4e3a\u7d27\u5bc6\u3002<br \/>  New Year&rsquo;s Eve dinner, also called family unio dinner, is the dinner on the New Year&rsquo;s Eve (the last day of the lunar year). On this day, families gather together to usher in the New Year. The tradition of family unio dinner reflects mutual care and support for one another in Chinese families. Chopping sounds are heard in every household. On the New Year&rsquo;s Eve, family members have dinner around the table served with plentiful dishes, bringing a sense of fulfillment and contentment. People not o<em><\/em>nly enjoy a full table of dishes, but also the happy ambiance. Although New Year&rsquo;s Eve dinner dishes are varied, such as main courses, cold dishes, fried dishes and desserts, two dishes are indispensable, which are hot pot and fish. Steaming hot pot represents the prosperity. Fish is pro<em><\/em>nounced the same as Yu, representing abundance and luck. Carrot is popularly called Caitou, representing good luck. Fried shrimp and abalone, and other fried dishes represent prosperity and good luck. In North China, people eat dumplings, marking the transition between the old and the new years. As the shape of dumplings likes ingots, eating dumplings means good fortune in the New Year. Eating wo<em><\/em>ntons means a new start. It&rsquo;s heard that there was nothing in the universe except a formless chaos in the beginning. After Pangu created the Earth and the Sky, the universe had square lands. Long noodle is also called lo<em><\/em>ngevity noodle.
