Mandarin Chinese more lacks a distinction in between the possessive adjective (&quot;my&quot;) and possessive pronoun (&quot;mine&quot;); both are formed by appending the particle &ldquo;\u7684&rdquo; (de).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>  \tThere are just three basic pronouns in spoken Mandarin:<\/p>\n<p>  \tI, me-\u6211 (w\u01d2)<br \/>  \tYou-\u4f60 (n\u01d0)<br \/>  \tHe, \u4ed6\/\u5979\/\u5b83 (Him\/She, Her\/It-t\u0101)&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>  \t<strong style=\"line-height: 1.8em;\">Plurals<\/strong><br \/>  \tPlurals are formed by adding &#39;men&#39; at the end of the pronoun:<\/p>\n<p>  \tWe, Us &#8211; \u6211\u4eec (w\u01d2 men)&nbsp;<br \/>  \tYou &#8211; \u4f60\u4eec (n\u01d0 men)&nbsp;<br \/>  \tThey, Them &#8211; \u4ed6\u4eec(t\u0101 men)&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>  \tWhen speaking to elders or someone in authority, it is more polite to address them formally with \u60a8 (n&iacute;n) instead of the less formal \u4f60 (n\u01d0).<\/p>\n<p>  \t<strong>Reflexive Pronoun<br \/>  \t<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>  \tMandarin also has a reflexive pronoun &quot;\u81ea\u5df1&quot; (z&igrave; j\u01d0), used when both subject and object are the same.
