{"id":18671,"date":"2020-01-01T03:28:40","date_gmt":"2020-01-01T03:28:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chinesemoment.com\/chinese-culture\/sticky-rice-dumplingszongzi\/"},"modified":"2020-01-01T03:28:40","modified_gmt":"2020-01-01T03:28:40","slug":"sticky-rice-dumplingszongzi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chinesemoment.com\/fr\/sticky-rice-dumplingszongzi\/","title":{"rendered":"Sticky Rice Dumplings\uff08Zongzi\uff09"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>  \tZongzi is the festive food traditionally served during Dragon Boat Festival celebrations<\/p>\n<p>  \t<strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>  \t50 sheets of bamboo or reed leaves<br \/>  \tGlutinous rice (1 kilogram)<br \/>  \tChinese dates (250 grams)<\/p>\n<p>  \t<strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>  \t1.Soak the rice and the dates 12 hours or more till they are soaked thoroughly.<br \/>  \t2.Wash the leaves.<br \/>  \t3.A chopping board is necessary for laying out the leaves.<br \/>  \t4.Fold the leaves flat at the leafstalk to make a sheet.<br \/>  \t5.Hold the sheet, fold it round in the middle and make a funnel till both ends are laid over each other in one direction.<br \/>  \t6.About 1\/10 kg. of rice and 6 dates used for each dumpling. The dates must be covered by rice so that they won&#39;t lose too much syrup in cooking.<br \/>  \t7.Fold the leaves up to seal the open side of the funnel and tie the bundle with a band made of twisted leaves.
