Let me show you which spots you must go when you travel in Qufu.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>  \tLocation within ChinaQufu is the legendary birthplace of Confucius; it served as the capital of the State of Lu during the Spring and Autumn Period. The Temple of Confucius, Cemetery of Confucius, and the Kong Family Mansion in Qufu, have been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1994. They are the major cultural attractions of Qufu. The city also played a minor role in the Yanzhou <u>Campaign<\/u>\uff08zh&agrave;ny&igrave; \u6218\u5f79\uff09 of the Chinese communists in 1948.<\/p>\n<p>  \tNeighboring Areas: Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan, and Hebei provinces<\/p>\n<p>  \tPhysical Features: the ratio between hills and plain is 3:7; the land descending from northeast to southeast<\/p>\n<p>  \tQufu was the central base of the eastern tribes in ancient China and was one of the areas where Dawenkou and the Longshan culture, famed for its black pottery, were found. It was also a city of music in the Western Zhou Dynasty. Confucius was born on Mt. Ni (551 BC), grew up in Jueli and was buried near the River Si.
