Yue is a variety of Chinese spoken mostly in<span>&nbsp;<\/span><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Guangdong<\/strong><span>&nbsp;<\/span>(\u5e7f\u4e1c Gu\u01cengd\u014dng),<span>&nbsp;<\/span><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Guangxi<span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong>(\u5e7f\u897f Gu\u01cengx\u012b),<strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Hong Kong<span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong>(\u9999\u6e2f Xi\u0101ngg\u01ceng) and<span>&nbsp;<\/span><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Macau<span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong>(\u6fb3\u95e8 Aom&eacute;n). You can also find significant Yue-speaking communities overseas in Southeast Asia, Canada, Australia, the United kingdom and USA. For instance, several old poems that do rhyme when read with Yue pro<em><\/em>nunciation do not rhyme in Mandarin pronunciation. It is believed that officials and other folks who had been exiled or migrated to southern China for the duration of the Tang Dynasty brought their assortment of Chinese with them to Guangdong.
