Cam: Hello, everybody! Wo shi Cam. During this week we mainly focused on the topic of making invitations and requests. So this is our chance to practice what we’ve learned.
Yajie: Right.  Let’s listen to sentences in the week.

Yajie: Dajia hao. Wo shi Yajie.
Cam: In the last lesson we learned how to ask for help and making requests in Chinese. Now what if I want to say “no”, and refuse a request?
Yajie: Well, that wouldn’t be very easy!  But it’s certainly something you’ll need to know.  Let’s listen to Key Words of the Day.

Cam: Welcome to Chinese Studio. Wo Shi Cam. Yajie, I think I can go to a restaurant now based on everything we’ve learned this week.  But I still need a bit more practice.

Yajie:大家好, 我是Yajie. Remember, we made a shopping list yesterday?
Cam:  I do.
Yajie:  Well today we are going to learn more words that you can use at the supermarket.  
Cam: Sounds good!

Cam: Time again for Chinese Studio. Ni2 men2 hao3! Wo3 Shi4 Cam.
YJ: 我是YJ. Cam, do you remember you owe me a dinner?
Cam: Yeah. But as a prerequisite, you must teach me some useful Chinese that I can use at a restaurant.
YJ: Deal. 

Yajie: Da jia hao. Wo shi YJ. Welcome to Chinese Studio on China Radio International.
Cam: Ni men hao. Wo shi Cam. What do we have planned for today, Yajie?
Yajie: Well, we’ve been learning how to talk about jobs. 你在哪工作？Literally, wher do you work? But when you meet a student without a job, what would you say to start the conversation?
