In addition to fire prohibition and tomb sweeping, there are also lots of customs and sports activities, including spring outing, playing on a swing, cuju, polo, and plant willows. As the legend tells, fire is prohibited during the Qingming Festival, so people come to join some sports activities to keep warm and avoid harms caused by cold dishes. As a result, this festival includes not o<em><\/em>nly sorrows from sweeping new tombs, but also laughter from spring outings. This is a festival of diverse emotions.<br \/>  \u8361\u79cb\u5343<br \/>  Swing<br \/>  \u8fd9\u662f\u6211\u56fd\u53e4\u4ee3\u6e05\u660e\u8282\u4e60\u4fd7\u3002\u79cb\u5343\uff0c\u610f\u5373\u63ea\u7740\u76ae\u7ef3\u800c\u8fc1\u79fb\u3002\u5b83\u7684\u5386\u53f2\u5f88\u53e4\u8001\uff0c\u6700\u65e9\u53eb\u5343\u79cb\uff0c\u540e\u4e3a\u4e86\u907f\u5fcc\u8bb3\uff0c\u6539\u4e3a\u79cb\u5343\u3002\u53e4\u65f6\u7684\u79cb\u5343\u591a\u7528\u6811\u6860\u679d\u4e3a\u67b6\uff0c\u518d\u62f4\u4e0a\u5f69\u5e26\u505a\u6210\u3002\u540e\u6765\u9010\u6b65\u53d1\u5c55\u4e3a\u7528\u4e24\u6839\u7ef3\u7d22\u52a0\u4e0a\u8e0f\u677f\u7684\u79cb\u5343\u3002\u6253\u79cb\u5343\u4e0d\u4ec5\u53ef\u4ee5\u589e\u8fdb\u5065\u5eb7\uff0c\u800c\u4e14\u53ef\u4ee5\u57f9\u517b\u52c7\u6562\u7cbe\u795e\uff0c\u81f3\u4eca\u4e3a\u4eba\u4eec\u7279\u522b\u662f\u513f\u7ae5\u6240\u559c\u7231\u3002<br \/>  This is a custom of Qingming Festival in ancient China. The swing means swinging with hide ropes in hands. It has a long history and was called &ldquo;qianqiu&rdquo; in the earliest period, then renamed as &ldquo;qiuqian&rdquo; to avoid taboo. In ancient times, tree branches were often used as the f<em><\/em>rame of a swing, which were tied to colored ribbons. Later, it was developed into a swing with two ropes and one seat. Playing on a swing is not o<em><\/em>nly a healthy exercise but also it also raises one&rsquo;s courage; therefore, it is a beloved activity among Chinese, especially children, to these days.<br \/>  \u8e74\u97a0<br \/>  Cuju<br \/>  \u97a0\u662f\u4e00\u79cd\u76ae\u7403\uff0c\u7403\u76ae\u7528\u76ae\u9769\u505a\u6210\uff0c\u7403\u5185\u7528\u6bdb\u585e\u7d27\u3002\u8e74\u97a0\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u7528\u8db3\u53bb\u8e22\u7403\u3002\u8fd9\u662f\u53e4\u4ee3\u6e05\u660e\u8282\u65f6\u4eba\u4eec\u559c\u7231\u7684\u4e00\u79cd\u6e38\u620f\u3002\u76f8\u4f20\u662f\u9ec4\u5e1d\u53d1\u660e\u7684\uff0c\u6700\u521d\u76ee\u7684\u662f\u7528\u6765\u8bad\u7ec3\u6b66\u58eb\u3002<br \/>  Ju is a kind of ball made of leather, which is plugged with hairs. Cuju means to kick the ball with feet. In ancient China, it was one kind of game loved by people during Qingming Festival. According to legend, it was invented by Yellow Emperor with the initial purpose of training warriors.<br \/>  \u8e0f\u9752<br \/>  Spring Outing<br \/>  \u53c8\u53eb\u6625\u6e38\u3002\u53e4\u65f6\u53eb\u63a2\u6625\u3001\u5bfb\u6625\u7b49\u3002\u4e09\u6708\u6e05\u660e\uff0c\u6625\u56de\u5927\u5730\uff0c\u81ea\u7136\u754c\u5230\u5904\u5448\u73b0\u4e00\u6d3e\u751f\u673a\u52c3\u52c3\u7684\u666f\u8c61\uff0c\u6b63\u662f\u90ca\u6e38\u7684\u5927\u597d\u65f6\u5149\u3002\u6211\u56fd\u6c11\u95f4\u957f\u671f\u4fdd\u6301\u7740\u6e05\u660e\u8e0f\u9752\u7684\u4e60\u60ef\u3002<br \/>  Spring outing is also called spring excursion, which was called spring exploration, spring seeking and so on in ancient times. Qingming arrives in the third mo<em><\/em>nth in the lunar calendar, when spring rolls up the ground and the nature world is filled with vigor. This is the perfect time to go for an outing. The tradition of spring outing in Qingming has been maintained among people in China for a long period.<br \/>  \u690d\u6811<br \/>  Planting Trees<br \/>  \u6e05\u660e\u524d\u540e\uff0c\u6625\u9633\u7167\u4e34\uff0c\u6625\u96e8\u98de\u6d12\uff0c\u79cd\u690d\u6811\u82d7\u6210\u6d3b\u7387\u9ad8\uff0c\u6210\u957f\u5feb\u3002\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u81ea\u53e4\u4ee5\u6765\uff0c\u6211\u56fd\u5c31\u6709\u6e05\u660e\u690d\u6811\u7684\u4e60\u60ef\u3002\u6709\u4eba\u8fd8\u628a\u6e05\u660e\u8282\u53eb\u505a&ldquo;\u690d\u6811\u8282&rdquo;\u3002\u690d\u6811\u98ce\u4fd7\u4e00\u76f4\u6d41\u4f20\u81f3\u4eca\u30021979\u5e74\uff0c\u4eba\u5927\u5e38\u59d4\u4f1a\u89c4\u5b9a\uff0c\u6bcf\u5e74\u4e09\u6708\u5341\u4e8c\u65e5\u4e3a\u6211\u56fd\u690d\u6811\u8282\u3002\u8fd9\u5bf9\u52a8\u5458\u5168\u56fd\u5404\u65cf\u4eba\u6c11\u79ef\u6781\u5f00\u5c55\u7eff\u5316\u7956\u56fd\u6d3b\u52a8\uff0c\u6709\u7740\u5341\u5206\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u610f\u4e49\u3002<br \/>  Around Qingming, the sun of spring shines brightly, and the rain of spring drops sufficiently, which help saplings to survive and grow. Therefore, the custom of planting trees in Qingming can be dated back to ancient times in China. Someone even regards Qingming as the &ldquo;Arbor Day&rdquo;. And this custom is still popular nowadays. In 1979, the Standing Committee of Natio<em><\/em>nal People&rsquo;s Co<em><\/em>ngress provided March 12th of every year as the Arbor Day of China. This makes significant senses in mobilizing people of all natio<em><\/em>nalities to participate in activities to afforest China.<br \/>  \u653e\u98ce\u7b5d<br \/>  Flying Kites<br \/>  \u4e5f\u662f\u6e05\u660e\u65f6\u8282\u4eba\u4eec\u6240\u559c\u7231\u7684\u6d3b\u52a8\u3002\u6bcf\u9022\u6e05\u660e\u65f6\u8282\uff0c\u4eba\u4eec\u4e0d\u4ec5\u767d\u5929\u653e\uff0c\u591c\u95f4\u4e5f\u653e\u3002\u591c\u91cc\u5728\u98ce\u7b5d\u4e0b\u6216\u98ce\u7a33\u62c9\u7ebf\u4e0a\u6302\u4e0a\u4e00\u4e32\u4e32\u5f69\u8272\u7684\u5c0f\u706f\u7b3c\uff0c\u50cf\u95ea\u70c1\u7684\u660e\u661f\uff0c\u88ab\u79f0\u4e3a&ldquo;\u795e\u706f&rdquo;\u3002\u8fc7\u53bb\uff0c\u6709\u7684\u4eba\u628a\u98ce\u7b5d\u653e\u4e0a\u84dd\u5929\u540e\uff0c\u4fbf\u526a\u65ad\u7275\u7ebf\uff0c\u4efb\u51ed\u6e05\u98ce\u628a\u5b83\u4eec\u9001\u5f80\u5929\u6daf\u6d77\u89d2\uff0c\u636e\u8bf4\u8fd9\u6837\u80fd\u9664\u75c5\u6d88\u707e\uff0c\u7ed9\u81ea\u5df1\u5e26\u6765\u597d\u8fd0\u3002<br \/>  This is also a popular activity of Qingming among people. When Qingming draws near, people fly kites during day and night. When flying kites in nights, people hang bunches of small lanterns below kites or on bracing wires, and these lanterns look like twinkling stars, which are called &ldquo;magic lights&rdquo;.
