\u76f8\u4f20\u8fdc\u53e4\u65f6\u5019\uff0c\u6709\u4e00\u79cd\u51f6\u6076\u7684\u602a\u517d\u53eb\u505a“\u5e74”\u3002\u5e74\u4f4f\u5728\u5c71\u6d1e\u91cc\uff0c\u5b83\u662f\u5c71\u4e2d\u9738\u738b\u3002\u8001\u864e\u3001\u72ee\u5b50\u3001\u9ed1\u718a\u4e00\u770b\u5230\u5b83\uff0c\u4fbf\u5413\u5f97\u9003\u547d\uff1b\u5c71\u7f8a\u3001\u7334\u5b50\u3001\u91ce\u5154\u542c\u5230\u5b83\u7684\u543c\u53eb\uff0c\u4fbf\u762b\u5012\u5728\u5730\u3002\u5e74\u5728\u5c71\u4e0a\u6355\u98df\u52a8\u7269\uff0c\u5403\u9971\u4fbf\u547c\u565c\u565c\u5730\u8eba\u5728\u6d1e\u91cc\u7761\u5927\u89c9\u3002
It’s heard that there was a fierce mo<\/em>nster called Nian in ancient times. Nian lived in the cave. It was the king in the mountain. Tigers, lions and black bears ran away when saw it. Goats, mo<\/em>nkeys and hares would fall down when heard the growling of Nian. Nian preyed on animals on the mountain and then returned to its cave to sleep.
\u5374\u8bf4\u90a3\u65f6\u5019\uff0c\u6709\u4e24\u4e2a\u653e\u725b\u7684\u5b69\u5b50\uff0c\u4e00\u4e2a\u53eb\u963f\u5c71\uff0c\u4e2a\u53eb\u963f\u6c34\uff0c\u4ed6\u4fe9\u662f\u597d\u4f19\u4f34\uff0c\u80c6\u5b50\u90fd\u5f88\u5927\uff0c\u5e38\u5e38\u8d76\u7740\u725b\u7fa4\u4e0a\u5c71\u5403\u8349\u3002\u5bb6\u91cc\u7684\u4eba\u5bf9\u4ed6\u4fe9\u8bf4\uff1a“\u5b69\u5b50\uff0c\u5c71\u4e0a\u6709\u5e74\uff0c\u53bb\u4e0d\u5f97\u5440\uff01”
At that time, there were two cowboys: Ashan and Ashui. They were good friends and both of them were courageous. They frequently grazed on the mountain pasture. Their family members warned, “Don’t go up into the mountain. There are Nians.”
“\u4e0d\u6015\uff01”\u963f\u5c71\u548c\u963f\u6c34\u6709\u5fc3\u8ba1\uff0c\u8bf4\uff1a“\u6211\u4eec\u80cc\u4e0a\u5f13\u548c\u7bad\uff0c‘\u5e74’\u8981\u662f\u6765\u4e86\uff0c\u5c31\u722c\u5230\u6811\u4e0a\u5c04\u6b7b\u5b83\uff01”
“No worries.” Ashan and Ashui were fully prepared, “We take bow and arrows. We will climb a tree to shoot it, if Nian is coming.”
\u8bdd\u867d\u8fd9\u4e48\u8bf4\uff0c\u4ed6\u4fe9\u4e0a\u5c71\u51e0\u6b21\uff0c\u5e78\u559c\u90fd\u6ca1\u6709\u78b0\u5230“\u5e74”\u3002\u8f6c\u773c\u5230\u4e86\u814a\u6708\u4e09\u5341\u65e5\uff0c\u5929\u8272\u9ec4\u660f\u3002\u963f\u5c71\u548c\u963f\u6c34\u8d76\u7740\u725b\u7fa4\u56de\u5bb6\u3002\u771f\u602a\uff0c\u725b\u513f\u60ca\u614c\u5f97\u54de\u54de\u53eb\uff0c\u6324\u6210\u4e00\u56e2\u3002\u8fd9\u662f\u548b\u56de\u4e8b\u5462\uff1f
Even so, they were lucky not enough to meet Nian when they went to the mountain for several times. On the 30th day of the 12th lunar month, Ashan and Ashui went home with their cattle at dusk. Strangely, the herd mooed and crowded together. What happened?
“\u5454\uff0c\u5feb\u8d70\uff01”\u963f\u5c71\u548c\u963f\u6c34\u6325\u8d77\u725b\u97ad\uff0c\u556a\u556a\u5730\u62bd\u6253\u4e86\u51e0\u4e0b\u3002\u5ffd\u7136\u542c\u5230“\u560e\u54c7”\u5730\u4e00\u58f0\u602a\u53eb\uff0c\u4e00\u53ea\u602a\u7269\u5413\u5f97\u671d\u6751\u524d\u8def\u4e0a\u8dd1\u53bb\u3002
“Wow! Run!” Ashan and Ashui whipped the herd. Suddenly, a mo<\/em>nster screamed and ran off towards the villages.
\u963f\u5c71\u9053\uff1a“\u963f\u6c34\uff0c\u4f60\u770b\uff0c\u662f\u4e00\u53ea\u5e74\u8dd1\u4e86\uff01”
Ashan said, “Ashui, look, a Nian runs away!”
“\u771f\u602a\uff0c‘\u5e74’\u662f\u51f6\u517d\uff0c\u600e\u4e48\u770b\u5230\u6211\u4eec\u53cd\u800c\u5bb3\u6015\u5f97\u9003\u8d70\u4e86\u3002”\u963f\u6c34\u89c9\u5f97\u633a\u5947\u602a\u3002
“It’s strange. Nian is a beast. Why does it run away when seeing us?” Ashui asked curiously.
“\u55ef\uff0c”\u963f\u5c71\u679c\u65ad\u5730\u8bf4\uff0c“\u6211\u4eec\u8ffd\u8fc7\u53bb\u770b\u770b\u3002”
“Well, let’s follow it to have a look.” Ashan replied decisively.
\u4e24\u4e2a\u5c0f\u7267\u7ae5\u771f\u591f\u5927\u80c6\uff0c\u4ed6\u4fe9\u4e0d\u65ad\u5730\u6325\u52a8\u725b\u97ad\u50ac\u725b\u5feb\u8d70\u3002\u725b\u97ad\u58f0\u5288\u54e9\u556a\u5566\u5730\u54cd\uff0c\u5e74\u9003\u7a9c\u5f97\u66f4\u5feb\u4e86\u3002“\u54e6\uff0c\u662f\u54e9\uff01”\u963f\u5c71\u731b\u609f\u8fc7\u6765\uff0c“\u539f\u6765\u5e74\u5bb3\u6015\u725b\u97ad\u58f0\uff01”
Two shepherd boys were really brave. They co<\/em>ntinuously whipped the cattle. Nian ran away quickly when heard bullwhip cracking sounds. “Oh, Nian is scared by bullwhip cracking sounds.” Ashan figured it out.
\u963f\u5c71\u548c\u963f\u6c34\u8d76\u7740\u725b\u7fa4\u8fdb\u6751\uff0c\u8fdc\u8fdc\u770b\u5230\u5e74\u7a9c\u5230\u5434\u516c\u516c\u5bb6\u95e8\u3002\u5434\u516c\u516c\u5bb6\u95e8\u524d\u6652\u4e86\u4e00\u4ef6\u5927\u7ea2\u8863\u88f3\uff0c\u5e74\u5413\u5f97\u626d\u8f6c\u5934\uff0c\u671d\u6751\u540e\u5934\u8dd1\u53bb\u3002
Ashan and Ashui led their cattle and returned their village. From farther away, they saw Nian run to the house of Grandpa Wu. A red cloth was hanging outside the house. Nian saw it and run off to the back of the village.
\u90a3\u8fb9\u4e5f\u6709\u4e00\u4e2a\u6751\u5b50\u3002\u6b64\u65f6\uff0c\u591c\u5e55\u964d\u4e34\u4e86\uff0c“\u5e74”\u4e00\u89c1\u5bb6\u5bb6\u6237\u6237\u7684\u7a97\u53e3\u660e\u4eae\u4eae\u5730\u95ea\u7740\u706f\u5149\uff0c\u523a\u5f97\u5b83\u5934\u660f\u773c\u82b1\uff0c\u53c8\u626d\u8f6c\u5934\u8dd1\u4e86\u3002\u8fd9\u65f6\uff0c\u963f\u5c71\u548c\u963f\u6c34\u5df2\u7ecf\u628a\u725b\u7fa4\u8d76\u8fdb\u68da\u91cc\uff0c\u53c8\u8ffd\u8fc7\u53bb\u3002\u4ed6\u4fe9\u6545\u610f\u628a\u97ad\u5b50\u7529\u5f97\u556a\u556a\u54cd\uff0c\u5e74\u60ca\u6050\u5730\u602a\u53eb\u7740\uff0c\u8dd1\u4e0a\u5c71\u4e86\u3002
There was another village on that side. At that time, the night had shut in. Seeing bright light shining through the windows, Nian felt dizzy and turned to run. After herded the cattle to the cowshed, Ashan and Ashui rushed over to follow Nian. They deliberately whipped loud crackling sounds. Nian screamed in fright and ran up the mountain.
\u963f\u5c71\u548c\u963f\u6c34\u628a\u8fd9\u4e00\u5207\u770b\u5f97\u6e05\u6e05\u695a\u695a\uff0c\u56de\u5230\u6751\u91cc\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u5bf9\u4e61\u4eb2\u4eec\u8bf4\uff1b“\u539f\u6765\u5e74\u6015\u54cd\u3001\u6015\u7ea2\u3001\u6015\u706b\u3002\u54b1\u4eec\u77e5\u9053\u5b83\u7684\u5f31\u70b9\uff0c\u5f80\u540e\u53ef\u4ee5\u62b5\u5fa1\u5b83\u4e86\u3002”
Ashan and Ashui saw it clearly. Returned to their village, they told villagers, “Nian is afraid of crackling sounds, red color and fire. We know its weakness. We can defend its attack by using its weaknesses.”
\u4e61\u4eb2\u4eec\u542c\u4e86\uff0c\u5f88\u5feb\u5c31\u60f3\u51fa\u4e00\u4e2a\u597d\u529e\u6cd5\u3002\u5927\u5bb6\u5728\u6751\u524d\u71c3\u8d77\u7bdd\u706b\uff0c\u963f\u5c71\u548c\u963f\u6c34\u6295\u5165\u4e00\u6839\u6839\u7af9\u5b50\uff0c\u706b\u5806\u91cc\u53d1\u51fa“\u5288\u5288\u556a\u556a”\u7684\u7206\u88c2\u58f0\u3002\u51e0\u53ea\u5e74\u8dd1\u4e0b\u5c71\u3002\u770b\u5230\u7bdd\u706b\uff0c\u542c\u5230\u54cd\u58f0\uff0c\u679c\u7136\u53c8\u5f80\u56de\u8dd1\u4e86\u3002\u5c31\u8fd9\u6837\uff0c\u4e00\u591c\u8fc7\u53bb\u4e86\uff0c\u4e61\u4eb2\u4eec\u5e73\u5b89\u65e0\u4e8b\u3002\u7b2c\u4e8c\u5929\u6b63\u6708\u521d\u4e00\uff0c\u4e61\u4eb2\u4eec\u62ff\u51fa\u7ea2\u67d1\u3001\u82b1\u751f\u7c73\u7b49\u597d\u5403\u7684\u4e1c\u897f\u4e00\u9053\u5403\uff0c\u4e92\u76f8\u795d\u8d3a\uff1a“\u606d\u559c\uff01”
After heard that, villagers got a good idea. They lit bo<\/em>nfires before the village. Ashan and Ashui put bamboos into bonfires, exploding into loud crackling sounds. Several Nians ran down the mountain. They went back after saw bo<\/em>nfires and heard the sound. So, villagers were safe at that night. The next day was the first day of New Year. Villagers co<\/em>ngratulated each other and shared peanuts and oranges.
\u4ece\u6b64\uff0c\u4eba\u4eec\u4fbf\u628a\u6b63\u6708\u521d\u4e00\u53eb\u505a“\u8fc7\u5e74”\u3002\u6bcf\u5f53\u5230\u4e86\u8fd9\u4e00\u5929\uff0c\u5bb6\u5bb6\u6237\u6237\u8d34\u7ea2\u6625\u8054\uff0c\u71c3\u653e\u97ad\u70ae\uff0c\u70b9\u7ea2\u8721\u70db\uff0c\u7a7f\u7ea2\u8863\u670d\uff0c\u4ee5“\u7ea2”\u4e3a\u5409\u5229\u7684\u8c61\u5f81\u3002\u636e\u8bf4\u8fd9\u4e9b\u98ce\u4fd7\u90fd\u662f\u5f53\u5e74\u62b5\u5fa1“\u5e74”\u7684\u529e\u6cd5\u9010\u6e10\u6f14\u5316\u8fc7\u6765\u7684\u3002
Since then, people had called the first day of the first lunar mo<\/em>nth as Guo Nian. On the New Year, households paste red spring festival scrolls, set off firecrackers, light red candles and wear red cloths. Red is an auspicious emblem. These customs evolve from the ways of fighting against Nian.
