He is a prominent philosopher and thinker of ancient China as well as the creator of Taoism. Amo<em><\/em>ngst the 100 most im<em><\/em>portant historical celebrities in the world, he is said to have authored the Tao Te Ching (often simply referred to as Laozi), whose essence is the plain dialectics and the idea of &quot;doing nothing&quot;.
