The latter part is the key of the whole sentence and "\u77a7(qiáo)" in this part means "\u770b(kàn)" (to look or read). The former part is a vivid description — someone is reading a play script while riding a donkey. The literal meaning of the latter part is to read or watch something while moving. The extended meaning is to wait and see the result. It can also express a tone of confidence of the speaker in the result he\/she has expected. This sentence is usually used in the situation when you are despised or doubted by others. This expression has two main functions: one is to retort the despising or doubt of the opposite part and to indicate that "You just wait and see; I will show you sooner or later that I'm right or I have the ability to do it"; the other is to express a tone of threat and to indicate that the opposite part will be revenged because of the despising he\/she has showed to the speaker. You can use "\u6211\u4eec(w\u01d2men)", "\u54b1\u4eec(zánmen)" (both mean "we") as the subject in this sentence. Sometimes, the latter part "\u8d70\u7740\u77a7(z\u01d2u zhe qiáo)" can be omitted.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
