This is one the grammar patterns they use.<\/p>\n<p>  \t<strong>Structure <\/strong><br \/>  \tTo say that something is not more adjective as another, you can use \u4e0d\u6bd4 (b&ugrave; b\u01d0). No snickering, please.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>  \tThis is similar to, but not exactly the same as comparing with \u6ca1\u6709.<\/p>\n<p>  \t<strong>Examples <\/strong>  \t<\/p>\n<div>W\u01d2 b&uacute; b\u01d0 n\u01d0 f\u0101n y&igrave; d&eacute; h\u01ceo.<br \/>  \t\u6211 \u4e0d \u6bd4 \u4f60 \u7ffb\u8bd1 \u5f97 \u597d\u3002<\/div>\n<div>I don&#39;t translate as well as you do.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>  \t<strong>The Difference between \u4e0d\u6bd4 and \u6ca1\u6709 <\/strong><br \/>  \t\u4e0d\u6bd4 and \u6ca1\u6709 are not exactly the same. \u6ca1\u6709 means &quot;not as&#8230; as,&quot; whereas \u4e0d\u6bd4 is a direct negation of \u6bd4, meaning &quot;not more&#8230; than.&quot; Compare the following two English sentences:<\/p>\n<p>  \tYou&#39;re not as smart as me. (\u6ca1\u6709)<br \/>  \tYou&#39;re not smarter than me. (\u4e0d\u6bd4)<\/p>\n<p>  \tYou&#39;d probably be more upset to hear the former from a friend than the latter.
