It&rsquo;s very useful for communicating and getting around China.&nbsp; This week we&rsquo;ll mainly focus on how to use the numbers in sentences. Let&rsquo;s check our key words of the day!<br \/>  \t************Key words of the day<br \/>  \tToday we&rsquo;ll put the numbers into their usages. For example, 2003\u5e74, the year 2003; 2005\u5e74, the year 2005. \u4e00\u6708, January; \u4e8c\u6708, February. \u4e09\u6708\uff0cMarch. All in today&rsquo;s Chinese Studio.\u3000<br \/>  \t***********<\/p>\n<p>  \tY: In Chinese, the four figures making up the year are read out as four individual numbers and &ldquo;\u5e74&rdquo; is put at the end. For example, this year, 2005\u5e74 (&egrave;r l&iacute;ng l&iacute;ng w\u01d4 ni&aacute;n), the year 2005.<br \/>  \tC: 2005\u5e74 (&egrave;r l&iacute;ng l&iacute;ng w\u01d4 ni&aacute;n).<br \/>  \tY: 2003\u5e74(&egrave;r l&iacute;ng l&iacute;ng s\u0101n ni&aacute;n), the year 2003.<br \/>  \tC: 2003\u5e74 (&egrave;r l&iacute;ng l&iacute;ng s\u0101n ni&aacute;n). Then how do you say the year 2000?<br \/>  \tY: It&rsquo;s \u4e24\u5343\u5e74 (li\u01ceng qi\u0101n ni&aacute;n).<br \/>  \tC: \u4e24\u5343\u5e74 (li\u01ceng qi\u0101n ni&aacute;n).<br \/>  \tY: Or you can say 2000\u5e74 (&egrave;r l&iacute;ng l&iacute;ng ni&aacute;n). What year were you born, Cam?<br \/>  \tC: 1979 (yi jiu qi jiu nian).<br \/>  \tY:&nbsp; Very good!&nbsp; You were born in 1979.<\/p>\n<p>  \tY:&nbsp; Now let&rsquo;s learn the months. Month in Chinese is \u6708(yu&egrave;).&nbsp; \u4e00\u6708\uff0c\u4e8c\u6708\uff0c&hellip;\uff0c<br \/>  \tC: Wait, wait. Slow down&hellip;. So it&rsquo;s\u4e00\u6708 (y\u012b yu&egrave;)\uff0c\u3000\u4e8c\u6708 (&egrave;r yu&egrave;). Right?<br \/>  \tY: Yes. Exactly. Well, let me explain a little bit more. The name of the months are produced by combining the numbers 1 to 12 with &ldquo;\u6708&rdquo;.<br \/>  \tC: Ok.
