In 73 AD, Ban Chao and 36 subordinates were on a diplomatic mission to the kingdoms of the Tarim Basin, and first arrived at the kingdom of Kroran, also known as Loulan (l&oacute;u l&aacute;n \u697c\u5170) or Shanshan (sh&agrave;n sh&agrave;n \u912f\u5584).<\/p>\n<p>  &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>  The king at first gave them a warm reception, but after some time, he began to be cold and rude towards them. Ban Chao investigated and found that a large Xio<em><\/em>ngnu delegation had also arrived, so that the king&#8217;s attitude towards the Han dynasty had begun to waver .Ban Chao assembled his men and told them that the situation was grave. Arguing that &quot;without entering the tiger&#8217;s den, one cannot capture the tiger&#8217;s cub&quot;, Ban Chao decided that the o<em><\/em>nly solution was to risk everything in a sneak attack on the Xio<em><\/em>ngnu delegation that night.<\/p>\n<p>  &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>  At night, Ban Chao and his 36 men snuck up to the Xio<em><\/em>ngnu camp. Ten of them hid behind the camp with drums, while the others lay in ambush with weapons at either side in front of the camp. Then they set a fire right outside the camp and began shouting and beating drums at the same time. The Xio<em><\/em>ngnu woke up in co<em><\/em>nfusion and panicked, thinking a large Han army was attacking them. Over 30 of them were killed in the ambush, including the leader of the delegation. More than a hundred others were killed by the fire. The next day, Ban Chao met the king of Kroran and showed him the severed head of the Xio<em><\/em>ngnu leader. The king then decided to ally with the Eastern Han.<\/p>\n<p>  \u73ed\u8d85\u662f\u4e1c\u6c49\u6ce8\u660e\u7684\u5916\u4ea4\u5bb6\u519b\u4e8b\u5bb6\u3002\u6c38\u5e73\u5341\u516d\u5e74(73\u5e74)\uff0c\u73ed\u8d85\u5e26\u7740\u4e00\u961f\u4eba\u9a6c\uff0c\u6765\u5230\u4e86\u65b0\u7586\u3002\u4e1c\u9053\u4e3b\u628a\u73ed\u8d85\u5949\u4e3a\u4e0a\u5bbe\u3002 \u8fc7\u4e86\u51e0\u5929\uff0c\u912f\u5584\u738b\u62d2\u4e0d\u63a5\u89c1\u73ed\u8d85\uff0c\u6001\u5ea6\u5341\u5206\u51b7\u6de1\u3002\u73ed\u8d85\u5f97\u77e5\u5308\u5974\u4e5f\u6d3e\u4f7f\u8005\u6765\u548c\u912f\u5584\u738b\u8054\u7edc\u611f\u60c5\uff0c\u912f\u912f\u738b\u70ed\u60c5\u6b3e\u5f85\u4ed6\u4eec\u3002\u5308\u5974\u4eba\u5728\u4e3b\u4eba\u9762\u524d\uff0c\u8bf4\u4e86\u4e1c\u6c49\u8bb8\u591a\u574f\u8bdd\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5 \u912f\u5584\u738b\u7684\u6001\u5ea6\u624d\u6025\u8f6c\u76f4\u4e0b\u3002\u73ed\u8d85\u7acb\u523b\u53ec\u96c6\u5927\u5bb6\u5546\u91cf\u5bf9\u7b56\u3002\u73ed\u8d85\u8bf4\uff1a&ldquo;\u53ea\u6709\u9664\u6389\u5308\u5974\u4f7f\u8005\u624d\u80fd\u6d88\u9664\u4e3b\u4eba\u7684\u7591\u8651\uff0c\u4e24\u56fd\u548c\u597d\u3002&rdquo; \u73ed\u8d85\u8bf4\uff1a&ldquo;\u4e0d\u5165\u864e\u7a74\uff0c\u7109\u5f97\u864e\u5b50\uff01&rdquo;\u8fd9\u5929\u6df1\u591c\uff0c\u73ed\u8d85\u5e26\u4e8636\u4e2a\u58eb\u5175\u6f5c\u5230\u5308\u5974\u8425\u5730\u3002\u4ed6\u4eec\u5175\u5206\u4e24\u8def\uff0c\u4e00\u8def\u62ff\u7740\u6218\u9f13\u8eb2\u5728\u8425\u5730\u540e\u9762\uff0c\u4e00\u8def\u624b\u6267\u5f13\u7bad\u5200\u67aa\u57cb\u4f0f\u5728\u8425\u5730\u4e24 \u65c1\u3002\u4ed6\u4eec\u4e00\u9762\u653e\u706b\u70e7\u5e10\u7bf7\uff0c\u4e00\u9762\u51fb\u9f13\u5450\u558a\u3002\u5308\u5974\u4eba\u60ca\u9192\u5e76\u5927\u4e71\uff0c\u4ee5\u4e3a\u4e00\u652f\u5f3a\u5927\u7684\u6c49\u519b\u961f\u4f0d\u5728\u88ad\u51fb\u4ed6\u4eec\uff0c\u7ed3\u679c\u5168\u88ab\u5927\u706b\u70e7\u6b7b\u3002 \u7b2c\u4e8c\u5929\uff0c\u73ed\u8d85\u624b\u63d0\u5308\u5974\u9996\u9886\u7684\u9996\u7ea7\u89d0\u89c1\u912f\u5584\u738b\uff0c\u912f\u5584\u738b\u660e\u767d\u4e86\u771f\u76f8\uff0c\u4fbf\u548c\u73ed\u8d85\u8a00\u5f52\u4e8e\u597d\uff0c\u6210\u529f\u7ed3\u76df\u3002<\/p>\n<p>  \u4e0d\u5165\u864e\u7a74\uff0c\u7109\u5f97\u864e\u5b50 (b&ugrave;
