"\u51fa\u53bb" (ch\u016b qu) is a special construction. "\u51fa" (ch\u016b) is the verb, and "\u53bb" (qù) here is acting as a directio<\/em>nal complement. There are two directio<\/em>nal complements, one is "\u53bb" and the other is "\u6765." (lái) These directio<\/em>nal complements indicate in what direction the action is taking place in reference to the speaker, for example: "\u51fa\u53bb" means "go out" and "\u51fa\u6765" (ch\u016b lái) means "come out."
