Since &quot;\u5fae\u535a(microblog)&quot; in Chinese sounds similar to  &quot;\u56f4\u8116(scarf)&quot;, the activity of &quot;updating one&#8217;s microblog (\u66f4\u65b0\u5fae\u535a)&quot; is  jokingly dubbed &quot;knitting a scarf (\u7ec7\u56f4\u8116)&quot; in China.<\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0px 3px 15px\">\u81ea\u4ece\u53bb\u5e748\u6708\u65b0\u6d6a\u7f51\u63a8\u51fa\u5fae\u535a\u670d\u52a1\u5185\u6d4b\u7248\u4ee5\u6765\uff0c\u5fae\u535a\u5df2\u6210\u4e3a\u4e00\u79cd\u793e\u4f1a\u98ce\u5c1a\u3002<\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0px 3px 15px\">Microblogging has become an Internet  phenomenon since Sina.com started beta testing its microblogging  service, Sina Weibo, in August 2009.<\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0px 3px 15px\">&ldquo;\u63a8\u7279\u5c06\u5fae\u535a\u7684\u6982\u5ff5\u5f15\u8fdb\u4e86\u4e2d\u56fd\uff0c\u4e0d\u8fc7\u5374\u662f\u65b0\u6d6a\u5fae\u535a\u666e\u53ca\u4e86\u8fd9\u79cd\u7f51\u7edc\u670d\u52a1\u3002&rdquo;\u5317\u4eac\u5927\u5b66\u65b0\u95fb\u4e0e\u4f20\u64ad\u5b66\u9662\u65b0\u5a92\u4f53\u65b9\u9762\u7684\u4e13\u5bb6\u80e1\u6c38\u5982\u6b64\u8bc4\u4ef7\u3002<\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0px 3px 15px\">&quot;Twitter brought the concept of the  microblog to China, but it is Sina Weibo that has popularized this kind  of Internet service here,&quot; says Hu Yong, an expert on new media from the  School of Journalism and Communication of Peking University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0px 3px 15px\">\u300a\u4e2d\u56fd\u9752\u5e74\u62a5\u300b\u5bf9\u5168\u56fd30\u4e2a\u7701\uff08\u81ea\u6cbb\u533a\u3001\u76f4\u8f96\u5e02\uff09\u76843282\u4eba\u8fdb\u884c\u7684\u4e00\u9879\u8c03\u67e5\u663e\u793a\uff0c87%\u7684\u4eba\u4f1a\u4e0a\u5fae\u535a\u4e86\u89e3\u5927\u5bb6\u5bf9\u4e00\u4e9b\u65f6\u4e8b\u7684\u770b\u6cd5\u5e76\u53d1\u8868\u610f\u89c1\u3002<\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0px 3px 15px\">According to a <em>China Youth Daily<\/em>  survey, which involved 3,282 people from 30 provinces around China, 87  percent of them use microblogs to read about public opinion on current  affairs and post their own thoughts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0px 3px 15px\">\u5fae\u535a\u5728\u5f88\u591a\u65b9\u9762\u6539\u53d8\u4e86\u4eba\u4eec\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\uff0c\u800c\u4e14\u5f80\u5f80\u7ed9\u4eba\u4eec\u5e26\u6765\u66f4\u591a\u7684\u4fbf\u5229\u3002\u8c03\u67e5\u4e2d\uff0c\u670962%\u7684\u4eba\u8868\u793a\u53c2\u4e0e\u8fc7\u5fae\u535a\u4e0a\u53d1\u8d77\u7684\u516c\u76ca\u884c\u52a8\u3002\u53e6\u5916\uff0c67% \u7684\u4eba\u8868\u793a\u5fae\u535a\u6539\u53d8\u4e86\u4ed6\u4eec\u4ea4\u53cb\u3001\u6c9f\u901a\u7684\u65b9\u5f0f\u548c\u4e60\u60ef\u3002\u8fd8\u6709\u4e0e\u6b64\u6bd4\u4f8b\u76f8\u5f53\u7684\u4eba\u8868\u793a\uff0c\u5fae\u535a\u80fd\u968f\u65f6\u968f\u5730\u8bb0\u5f55\u60f3\u6cd5\uff0c\u6539\u53d8\u4e86\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u8868\u8fbe\u4e60\u60ef\u3002<\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0px 3px 15px\">Microblogging has changed people&#8217;s lives  in many ways, often for the better. Among the surveyed people, 62  percent used microblogs to participate in charitable activities. 67  percent say microblogging has changed the way they make friends and  communicate with others.
