You may notice form the formation of the character that two \u6728 (tree, wood) make a&nbsp; \u6797 (forest)&nbsp; \u72ec\u6728\u4e0d\u6210\u6797 Dumu bu cheng lin. There is a similar&nbsp; English proverb &ldquo;One tree does not make a forest&rdquo;. See? This chinese character reflects quite vividly the meaning of the famous proverb.<\/p>\n<p>  &ndash; \u6bc5 y&igrave;, perservance. Chinese parents embody their wish in the future for the children that perseverance leads to a great success.<\/p>\n<p>  &ndash; \u592b f\u016b, man. Chinese philosophy (\u7537\u5b50\u6c49,\u5927\u4e08\u592b!Nanzihan &#8211; da zhangfu!) indicates that a true man should have great ambition.<br \/>  ___________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>  World Bank President Robert Zoellick said Lin, the founding director of the China Center for Eco<em><\/em>nomic Research (CCER) at Peking University, would bring to the bank the perspective of a developing country on agriculture issues, as well as on eco<em><\/em>nomic challenges in Africa, wher China has aggressively sought trade and investment opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>  &ldquo;As our first chief eco<em><\/em>nomist from a developing country, and an expert on eco<em><\/em>nomic development and particularly agriculture, Justin Lin brings a unique set of skills and experience to the World Bank Group,&rdquo; Zoellick said in a statement announcing the appointment.<\/p>\n<p>  &ldquo;I look forward to working closely with him on a number of areas, including growth and investment in Africa, opportunities for South-South learning (between developing countries) and bank instruments to better support countries hit by high energy and agriculture prices,&rdquo; he said.<\/p>\n<p>  &ldquo;China&rsquo;s experiences can help the World Bank shore up its leading role in global poverty reduction,&rdquo; Lin told Chinese news agency Xinhua after the announcement was made.<\/p>\n<p>  Lin, 55, is expected to take his positions as the global development lender&rsquo;s senior vice president for development eco<em><\/em>nomics and chief eco<em><\/em>nomist on May 31.
