"\u5a62(bì)" in this poem is a maidservant in the poet’s aunt’s, who fell in love with the poet but later was sold to a prestigious family by the aunt. "\u7eff\u73e0(l\u01dczh\u016b)" refers to the favorite co<\/em>ncubine of a rich man named Shi Chong in the Western Jin Dynasty. Because of her beauty, a person of great influence called Sun Xiu asked Shi Chong to give her to him but was turned down. As a result, Shi was f<\/em>ramed and put into prison and the co<\/em>ncubine killed herself by jumping from a tower. "\u8427\u90ce(Xi\u0101o Láng)" is generally used to refer to the lover of woman in Chinese classics; here it refers to the poet himself.

\u8fd9\u9996\u8bd7\u5199\u4e86\u8bd7\u4eba\u6240\u7231\u7684\u4eba\u88ab\u6709\u6743\u6709\u52bf\u7684\u4eba\u52ab\u593a\u7684\u60b2\u54c0\uff0c\u4e5f\u53cd\u6620\u4e86\u5f53\u65f6\u5c01\u5efa\u793e\u4f1a\u7531\u4e8e\u95e8\u7b2c\u60ac\u6b8a\u6240\u9020\u6210\u7684\u7231\u60c5\u60b2\u5267\u3002\u4f5c\u8005\u901a\u8fc7\u8fd0\u7528“\u7eff\u73e0”\u7684\u5178\u6545\uff0c\u66f2\u6298\u8868\u8fbe\u4e86\u5973\u5b50\u6df1\u6c89\u7684\u75db\u82e6\u3002
The poem describes the sadness of the poet when his beloved one was robbed by the rich and powerful. It also reflects a love tragedy caused by differences in social status. Through using the allusion of \u7eff\u73e0, the poet expresses the deep agony of women in ancient China.
