These finals fall into three categories:<br \/>  (1) simple finals which have only a single vowel, e.g.: a, o<br \/>  (2) multi-finals which have two or three vowels, e.g.: ai, ua, iao, iou<br \/>  (3) nasal finals which consist of one or two vowels and a nasal consonant e.g.: an, &uuml;an, eng, iong<\/p>\n<p>  \u97f3\u8282Syllables<br \/>  \u6c49\u8bed\u91cc\u5927\u591a\u6570\u97f3\u8282\u662f\u7531\u58f0\u6bcd\u3001\u97f5\u6bcd\u548c\u58f0\u8c03\u4e09\u90e8\u5206\u6784\u6210\u7684\u3002\u5c11\u6570\u97f3\u8282\u53ea\u6709\u97f5\u6bcd\u548c\u58f0\u8c03\uff0c\u6ca1\u6709\u58f0\u6bcd\u3002\u666e\u901a\u8bdd\u7684\u7ae0\u8282\u5171\u6709\u4e00\u5343\u4e8c\u767e\u591a\u4e2a\u3002<br \/>  Most Syllables in Chinese are composed of initials, finals and tones. A small number of syllables, however,have only finals and tones, but not initials, eg. There are as many as 1200 syllables in putonghua.<\/p>\n<p>  \u58f0\u8c03Tones<br \/>  \u6c49\u8bed\u662f\u6709\u58f0\u8c03\u7684\u8bed\u8a00\u3002\u666e\u901a\u8bdd\u8bed\u97f3\u6709\u56db\u4e2a\u57fa\u672c\u58f0\u8c03\uff0c\u53ef\u5206\u522b\u7528\u7b26\u53f7\u8868\u793a\u5982\u4e0b\u3002<br \/>  Chinese is a tonal language.
