At the CCTV Spring Festival Gala of 2005, a dance The Thousand-Handed Goddess of Mercy presented by 21 deaf and mute dancers attracted the eyes of millions of TV audiences. The dance, with the graceful actions and perfect music and the love deep in their hearts, pushed the gala to the climax. The audiences remembered the dance The Thousand-Handed Goddess of Mercy, and a name of a girl: Tai Lihua.

1976\u5e7411\u6708\uff0c\u90b0\u4e3d\u534e\u51fa\u751f\u4e8e\u6e56\u5317\u5b9c\u660c\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u666e\u901a\u5bb6\u5ead\u30022\u5c81\u65f6\uff0c\u90b0\u4e3d\u534e\u5f97\u4e86\u9ebb\u75b9\uff0c\u9ad8\u70e7\u4e0d\u9000\uff0c\u4e3a\u9000\u70e7\u533b\u751f\u5c31\u7ed9\u5979\u6ce8\u5c04\u4e86\u5927\u91cf\u94fe\u9709\u7d20\uff0c\u70e7\u9000\u4e86\uff0c\u4f46\u5979\u4ece\u6b64\u53d8\u5f97\u53c8\u804b\u53c8\u54d1\u3002
November 1976. At the age of 2, she had measles and a high fever. In order to bring down the fever, a doctor injected too much streptomycin to her. Her fever was gone, but she became deaf and mute.

Her primary school had rhythm class to enable the students to understand the changes of tempo through feeling vibration of drums. o<\/em>nce when the teacher hit the drums on the wooden floor, Tai Lihua felt the natural and rhythmic tempos. She loved the tempo which she thought full of pleasant and was obsessed with dancing. She studied very hard. She fell down many times and often got black and blue all over.

Because of her extraordinary talent in dancing, Tai Lihua was elected from Yichang to the province’s capital city of Wuhan. In 1992, Tai Lihua attended a performance on behalf of Hubei Provincial Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe, she was seleced by the China Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe to perform in Austria, Sweden, Norway and Holland. Her outstanding performance attracted attentions of foreign friends. In August that year, the “Civilization and Art Festival Without Border”, known as the grand ceremony of art for the human race, was held in La Scala theater in Italy. All the performers for the festival were the top dancers and musicians in the world. As the o<\/em>nly performer with disability in hearing, Tai Lihua was ho<\/em>nored as the “envoy of beauty and humanity.”

Finding Her Love
1994\u5e74\uff0c\u90b0\u4e3d\u534e\u8003\u5165\u6e56\u5317\u7701\u7f8e\u672f\u5b66\u9662\u88c5\u6f62\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7cfb\u3002\u5728\u6821\u671f\u95f4\u90b0\u4e3d\u534e\u6c38\u8fdc\u5750\u5728\u6559\u5ba4\u7b2c\u4e00\u6392\u6700\u4e2d\u95f4\u7684\u4f4d\u5b50\u4e0a\uff0c\u4e00\u8fb9\u805a\u7cbe\u4f1a\u795e\u5730\u770b\u7740\u8001\u5e08\u7684\u53e3\u578b\uff0c\u4e00\u8fb9\u4e0d\u65ad\u6ce8\u89c6\u7740\u540c\u684c\u540c\u5b66\u7684\u7b14\u8bb0\u3002\u6bcf\u5f53\u8001\u5e08\u7a81\u51fa\u4e00\u4e2a\u91cd\u97f3\u5e76\u505a\u51fa\u4e00\u4e2a\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u624b\u52bf\uff0c\u5979\u5c31\u786e\u4fe1\u8fd9\u662f\u4e2a\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u3002\u5979\u7684\u6210\u7ee9\u4f18\u79c0\uff0c\u51e0\u4e4e\u6240\u6709\u7684\u540c\u5b66\u90fd\u613f\u610f\u5e2e\u52a9\u5979\u3002\u8fd9\u65f6\uff0c\u4e00\u53ea\u7231\u60c5\u9e1f\u4e5f\u6084\u6084\u671d\u5979\u98de\u6765\u3002
In 1994, Tai Lihua took the examinations and was enrolled by the Hubei Fine Arts Institute as a student majoring in decoration and design. During his study in the institute, she always sat in the middle of the first row in the classroom. She carefully watched the teachers’ lip movements and also looked at the note taken by her classmates. When a teacher highlighted something and made an im<\/em>portant gesture, she was co<\/em>nvinced that it was an im<\/em>portant issue. Her performances were quite good and almost all her classmates liked to help her. At that period, her love was approaching her.
\u90a3\u662f1995\u5e74\u5e95\u7684\u4e00\u5929\uff0c\u5979\u53bb\u6b66\u6c49\u4e00\u4e2a\u5c45\u6c11\u533a\u627e\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eb2\u621a\uff0c\u6070\u597d\u4eb2\u621a\u5916\u51fa\uff0c\u90bb\u5c45\u4e00\u4e2a\u7537\u5b69\u5b50\u5c31\u8bf7\u5979\u8fdb\u4ed6\u5bb6\u53bb\u7b49\u3002\u4ed6\u4eec\u65e0\u6cd5\u7528\u8a00\u8bed\u4ea4\u6d41\uff0c\u5c31\u7528\u7b14\u548c\u7eb8\u4ea4\u8c08\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u4e0b\u5348\uff0c\u4eb2\u621a\u56de\u6765\u65f6\uff0c\u4e24\u4eba\u4e92\u7559\u4e86\u8054\u7cfb\u65b9\u5f0f\u3002
One day in the late 1995, she went to a community in Wuhan to see a relative. It happened that her relative was not at home. A boy from the neighbor asked her to his home. Since they could not talk to each other in oral language, they used pens. When Tai Lihua’s relative came back, they had each other’s addresses.
\u90a3\u4e2a\u7537\u5b69\u53eb\u674e\u6625\uff0c\u5f53\u65f6\u6b63\u5c31\u8bfb\u4e8e\u534e\u4e2d\u79d1\u6280\u5927\u5b66\uff0c\u662f\u4e2a\u5065\u5168\u4eba\u3002\u51e0\u5929\u540e\uff0c\u90b0\u4e3d\u534e\u6536\u5230\u4e86\u674e\u6625\u7684\u6765\u4fe1\uff0c\u7ea6\u5979\u6709\u7a7a\u53bb\u4ed6\u4eec\u5b66\u6821\u73a9\u3002\u5979\u5c31\u53bb\u534e\u4e2d\u79d1\u5927\u627e\u4e86\u4ed6\uff0c\u4e24\u4eba\u4ece\u6b64\u5f00\u59cb\u4e86\u957f\u8fbe8\u5e74\u7684\u604b\u7231\u30022003\u5e743\u6708\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u5e78\u798f\u5730\u7ed3\u5a5a\u4e86\u3002
The boy was Li Chun, a normal student in Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Several days later, Tai Lihua received a letter from Li Chun, inviting her to his university. Then, she went to Li Chun’s university and they started eight-year long romantic relations and got married happily in March 2003.
\u90b0\u4e3d\u534e\u957f\u5e74\u5728\u4e16\u754c\u5404\u5730\u6f14\u51fa\u3002\u5728\u5916\u6f14\u51fa\u65f6\uff0c\u5979\u901a\u8fc7\u624b\u673a\u77ed\u4fe1\u4e0e\u5bb6\u4eba“\u901a\u8bdd”\uff0c\u6bcf\u5929\u4e0d\u4e0b50\u6761\u3002
Tai Lihua travels around the world for performance all year round. She often communicate with her family members through cell phone text messages, more than 50 pieces of messages every day.

2002\u5e748\u6708\uff0c\u90b0\u4e3d\u534e\u8c03\u5230\u4e2d\u56fd\u6b8b\u75be\u4eba\u827a\u672f\u56e2\u62c5\u4efb\u6f14\u5458\u961f\u961f\u957f\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u517c\u4efb\u4e2d\u56fd\u7279\u6b8a\u827a\u672f\u534f\u4f1a\u526f\u4e3b\u5e2d\u3002\u73b0\u5728\u90b0\u4e3d\u534e\u9664\u4e86\u8f97\u8f6c\u4e16\u754c\u5404\u5730\u8868\u6f14\uff0c\u6700\u5927\u7684\u68a6\u60f3\u5c31\u662f\u4e3a\u6b8b\u75be\u4eba\u521b\u7f16\u66f4\u591a\u7684\u821e\u8e48\u3002
In April 2002, Tai Lihua became the head of the performers of China Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe and chairwoman of China Special Art Association. Today, Tai Lihua still performs around the world and her biggest dream is to create more dances for disabled people.
\u5979\u51fa\u8bbf\u8fc7\u4e94\u5927\u6d3240\u591a\u4e2a\u56fd\u5bb6\uff0c\u5979\u662f\u552f\u4e00\u767b\u4e0a\u4e16\u754c\u4e24\u5927\u9876\u7ea7\u827a\u672f\u6bbf\u5802——\u610f\u5927\u5229\u65af\u5361\u62c9\u5927\u5267\u9662\u3001\u7ebd\u7ea6\u5361\u5185\u57fa\u97f3\u4e50\u5385\u7684\u4e2d\u56fd\u827a\u672f\u5bb6\uff0c\u5979\u4e5f\u66fe\u5728\u96c5\u5178\u6b8b\u5965\u4f1a\u95ed\u5e55\u5f0f\u7684\u821e\u53f0\u4e0a\u5927\u653e\u5f02\u5f69\u3002
She visited more than 40 countries in five co<\/em>ntinents and is the o<\/em>nly Chinese artist who performed in the world two top-level art theaters —- La Scala theater in Italy and Carnegie Hall of New York. She also performed the brilliant dance at the closing ceremony of the Paralympics in Athens.

Starting from the age of 2, Tai Lihua has been living in a silent world. But she does not complain a<\/em>bout the unfair of the fate, but faces her life with a positive and optimistic attitude. Her efforts also make her a brilliant star in the art world.
