Chinese sci-fi book “The Three-Body Problem” has won the 2015 Hugo Award for Best Novel.

The author(\u4f5c\u8005) Liu Cixin(\u5218\u6148\u6b23) became the first Asian writer to win the Hugo Award(\u96e8\u679c\u5956), the highest ho<\/em>nor for science fiction works(\u79d1\u5e7b\u5c0f\u8bf4) along with the Nebula Award(\u661f\u4e91\u5956). Liu Yukun(\u5218\u5b87\u6606), the book’s translator, accepted the award on the author’s behalf(\u4ee3\u8868\u4f5c\u8005).<\/p>\n

The novel series, co<\/em>nsisting of “Three Body”(\u4e09\u4f53), “The Dark Forest”(\u9ed1\u6697\u68ee\u6797\uff09 and “Death’s End”(\u6b7b\u795e\u6c38\u751f), portray the clashes between earth and extraterrestrial civilization.<\/p>\n

The books were published(\u51fa\u7248) between 2006 and 2010, and Liu Cixin has since become one of the most well-known writers in China.<\/p>\n

The Three-Body Problem<\/p>\n

The Three-Body Problem is a science fiction novel by the Chinese writer Liu Cixin. It is the first of a trilogy titled Remembrance of Earth’s Past, but Chinese readers generally refer to the series by the title of the first novel. The title refers to the three-body problem in orbital mechanics.<\/p>\n

The book was published in 2008 and became one of the most popular science fiction novels in China. It received the Chinese Science Fiction Galaxy Award in 2006. A film adaptation of the same name is scheduled for release in July 2016.<\/div>\n
