Early in the Qing Dynasty, Puzhou Wooden Clappers opera was moving up to the north and, after settling down in Xinzhou, changed gradually into the North Wooden Clappers. The traditio<em><\/em>nal programs include The Story of Wang Baochuan, Beating the Gold Twig, Calculating the Grains, Gold Bridge, Wailing at Court, Executing the Imperial Gown, Bloody Fingerprint, The Case of Beheading Chen Shimei, Butterfly Cup, Beheading Ten Dukes, Visiting White Gown, Returning to Royal Palace, Nine Garments, and Spring Outing of Lady Yang Bajie (a<em><\/em>bout 200 in total).<br \/>  \u5317\u8def\u6886\u5b50\u7684\u5531\u8154\u7ed3\u6784\u5c5e\u4e8e\u677f\u8154\u4f53\uff0c\u6709\u6162\u677f\u3001\u5939\u677f\u3001\u4e8c\u6027\u3001\u579b\u677f\u3001\u6d41\u6c34\u677f\u3001\u4e09\u6027\u677f\u3001\u5012\u677f\u3001\u6eda\u767d\u3001\u4ecb\u677f\u3001\u82b1\u8154\u7b49\u7684\u5206\u522b\u3002\u4f20\u7edf\u4f34\u594f\u4e50\u5668\u6709\u6587\u3001\u6b66\u573a\u4e4b\u5206\uff0c\u6587\u573a\u4e50\u5668\u7531\u6886\u80e1\u3001\u4e8c\u5f26\u3001\u4e09\u5f26\u3001\u56db\u5f26\u3001\u7b19\u3001\u7b1b\u3001\u5522\u5450\u7b49\u7ec4\u6210\uff0c\u6b66\u573a\u4e50\u5668\u7531\u677f\u9f13\u3001\u9a6c\u9523\u3001\u94d9\u94b9\u3001\u624b\u9523\u3001\u6886\u5b50\u3001\u6218\u9f13\u3001\u5802\u9f13\u3001\u78b0\u94c3\u3001\u5c0f\u97f3\u9523\u7b49\u7ec4\u6210\u3002\u5317\u8def\u6886\u5b50\u7684\u5531\u8154\u6df1\u53d7\u84b2\u5dde\u6886\u5b50\u7684\u5f71\u54cd\uff0c\u5177\u6709\u9ad8\u4ea2\u6fc0\u8d8a\u3001\u6dcb\u6f13\u9163\u7545\u3001\u7a33\u5065\u7c97\u72b7\u7684\u7279\u70b9\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u53c8\u7ed3\u5408\u5f53\u5730\u7684\u6c11\u6b4c\u5c0f\u8c03\uff0c\u5f62\u6210&ldquo;\u54b3\u54b3\u8154&rdquo;\u7b49\u81ea\u6210\u4e00\u4f53\u7684\u5531\u6cd5\uff0c\u5e26\u6709\u9c9c\u660e\u7684\u5730\u65b9\u7279\u8272\uff0c\u5145\u5206\u4f53\u73b0\u4e86\u5f53\u5730\u52b3\u52a8\u4eba\u6c11\u8d28\u6734\u6df3\u539a\u3001\u8c6a\u723d\u5927\u65b9\u7684\u6027\u683c\u3002<br \/>  The style of presentation of the North Wooden Clappers belo<em><\/em>ngs to the clapper tone system, including Slow Clappers, Mincing Clappers, Erxing, Chopping Clappers, Flowing Clappers, Sanxing Clappers, Reserve Clappers, Gunbai, Jie Clappers and Hybrid Tone. The instruments for regular accompaniment fall into Quiet Setting and Dynamic Setting: the Quiet Setting includes Banghu fiddle, Erxian, Sanxian, Sixian, Sheng (wind pipe), flute and trumpet while the Dynamic Setting has Bangu Drum, Maluo Gong, Cymbals, Hand Gong, Wooden Clappers, War Drum, Hall Drum, Clashing Bell, and Low-pitch Gong. The style of the North Wooden Clappers has been greatly influenced by Puzhou Wooden Clappers, featuring an excited, resonant, gruff, and measured voice as well as a unique &ldquo;coughing tone&rdquo; localized in light of the folk songs, which is of a distinct local color in full embodiment of the integrity, kindness, straightforwardness and generosity of the local people.<br \/>  \u5728\u620f\u66f2\u53d1\u5c55\u53f2\u548c\u5730\u65b9\u6587\u5316\u53f2\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u4e2d\uff0c\u5317\u8def\u6886\u5b50\u5177\u6709\u4e0d\u53ef\u66ff\u4ee3\u7684\u53f2\u6599\u4ef7\u503c\u3002\u4f46\u5728\u98de\u901f\u53d1\u5c55\u7684\u73b0\u4ee3\u793e\u4f1a\uff0c\u5317\u8def\u6886\u5b50\u548c\u8bb8\u591a\u5730\u65b9\u620f\u66f2\u4e00\u6837\u540c\u65f6\u4ee3\u62c9\u5f00\u4e86\u8ddd\u79bb\uff0c\u90a3\u79cd\u4e07\u4eba\u4e89\u7779\u7684\u666f\u51b5\u5df2\u7ecf\u4e00\u53bb\u4e0d\u590d\u8fd4\u4e86\u3002\u4f20\u627f\u4e4f\u4eba\u3001\u6f14\u51fa\u5e02\u573a\u840e\u7f29\u7b49\u95ee\u9898\u957f\u671f\u56f0\u6270\u7740\u5317\u8def\u6886\u5b50\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e2a\u53e4\u8001\u7684\u5267\u79cd\u6b63\u76fc\u671b\u7740\u6709\u5173\u65b9\u9762\u80fd\u5bf9\u5176\u52a0\u4ee5\u62a2\u6551\u548c\u4fdd\u62a4\u3002<br \/>  In the studies of development history of traditio<em><\/em>nal opera and local cultural history, the North Wooden Clappers is indeed irreplaceable historical data. However, in the modern society that is developing rapidly, the North Wooden Clappers opera is, just like other local operas, losing the great appeal it has ever enjoyed and seems to be &ldquo;way off&rdquo; the times.
