\u5728\u7532\u9aa8\u6587\u4e2d\uff0c“\u56fd”\u5199\u4f5c“\u6216”\uff0c \u53e4\u4ee3“\u6216”\u5b57\u50cf\u7528\u6b66\u5668\uff08\u6208\uff09\u4fdd\u536b\u57ce\u5e02\u3002\u53e3\u5f62\u56db\u5468\u7684\u77ed\u7ebf\u8868\u793a\u56fd\u5bb6\u7586\u754c\u3002“\u6216”\u5b57\u88ab\u7528\u4e8e“\u6216\u8005”\u7684“\u6216”\u4ee5\u540e\uff0c\u4eba\u4eec\u5c31\u4e13\u95e8\u9020\u51fa\u4e00\u4e2a\u5b57\u8868\u793a\u56fd\u5bb6\uff0c\u5373\u5728“\u6216”\u7684\u56db\u5468\u589e\u52a0\u65b9\u5f62\u4ee5\u6b64\u8868\u793a\u7586\u57df\uff0c\u4e8e\u662f\u6210\u4e3a“\u570b”\u5b57\uff0c\u73b0\u5728\u7b80\u5316\u4e3a“\u56fd”\uff0c\u672c\u4e49\u6307\u90a6\u56fd\uff0c\u540e\u5f15\u7533\u4e3a\u56fd\u5bb6\u7684\u610f\u601d\u3002<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In oracle bones inscriptions, “\u56fd” was written as “\u6216”, carrying the meaning of defending a city with weapons (\u6208). The short lines on the four sides  of "\u53e3" indicated national boundary. After "\u6216" was used to mean  "or", people created a specific character to mean "country", which was "\u6216" with a square, meaning boundary. Hence it turned to be "\u570b". Its simplified form is "\u56fd". The original meaning "\u56fd" was state, and then it was extended to mean “ country”. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n
