{"id":18794,"date":"2020-01-06T06:28:43","date_gmt":"2020-01-06T06:28:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chinesemoment.com\/chinese-culture\/chinese-foodbeef-and-broccoli-lo-mein-with-ramen-noodles\/"},"modified":"2020-01-06T06:28:43","modified_gmt":"2020-01-06T06:28:43","slug":"chinese-foodbeef-and-broccoli-lo-mein-with-ramen-noodles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chinesemoment.com\/my\/chinese-foodbeef-and-broccoli-lo-mein-with-ramen-noodles\/","title":{"rendered":"Chinese food\uff1aBeef and Broccoli Lo Mein With Ramen Noodles"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>  \tAn easy variation of the popular restaurant recipe beef lo mein, made with ramen noodles and oyster sauce.<\/p>\n<p>  \tServes 4<br \/>  \tPrep Time: 10 minutes<\/p>\n<p>  \tCook Time: 10 minutes<\/p>\n<p>  \tIngredients:<\/p>\n<p>  \t3\/4 pound boneless beef steak (sirloin or other tender cut)<br \/>  \t2 teaspoons soy sauce<br \/>  \t2 teaspoons dry sherry<br \/>  \t1 teaspoon cornstarch<br \/>  \t2 packages Ramen noodles (chicken flavor)<br \/>  \t4 cups boiling water<br \/>  \t3 cups broccoli flowerets<br \/>  \t1 1\/2 tablespoons peanut oil for stir-frying<br \/>  \t3 tablespoons oyster sauce<br \/>  \t2 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in 2 tsp water<br \/>  \tPreparation:<\/p>\n<p>  \tSlice beef into thin slices, about 2 inches long. Place in a bowl and stir in soy sauce, sherry, and cornstarch. Break ramen noodle blocks into 6 pieces each. Place in a bowl, sprinkle with contents of seasoning packets and cover with 4 cups of boiling water. Stir and let soak. Steam broccoli in the microwave until barely tender, about 2 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>  \tHeat oil in a large skillet or wok. When very hot, stir-fry beef until no longer pink. Toss in broccoli and stir.<\/p>\n<p>  \tPour 2\/3 cup of the broth from the soaking noodles into a measuring cup. Add the oyster sauce to the measuring cup and stir. Drain the noodles, discarding the remaining broth.<\/p>\n<p>  \tAdd the broth and oyster sauce mixture to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until thickened.
