Dunpai (shield) &ldquo;was used for martial arts and self-protection&rdquo; during the Ming Dynasty (1368&ndash;1644), according to the annals of Yo<em><\/em>ngxin County and the Wu clan genealogy. Dunpaiwu (shield dancing) developed ba<em><\/em>sed on the dunpai (shield), has a history of over 200 years.<br \/>  \u76fe\u724c\u821e\u4e3b\u8981\u8868\u73b0\u4e24\u519b\u5bf9\u5792\u7834\u9635\u3001\u76f8\u4e92\u653b\u5b88\u62fc\u6218\u7684\u573a\u9762\uff0c\u7531\u7537\u5b50\u96c6\u4f53\u8868\u6f14\uff0c\u4e24\u94c1\u53c9\u624b\u4e0e\u4f17\u591a\uff088\u4e2a\u4ee5\u4e0a\uff09\u724c\u4e01\u4f34\u7740\u6eda\u3001\u6253\u3001\u6869\u3001\u8eb2\u7684\u4e00\u7cfb\u5217\u52a8\u4f5c\uff0c\u7ec4\u6210\u56db\u89d2\u9635\u3001\u4e00\u5b57\u957f\u86c7\u9635\u3001\u516b\u5b57\u9635\u3001\u9ec4\u8702\u9635\u3001\u642d\u724c\u3001\u9f99\u95e8\u9635\u3001\u8377\u5305\u9635\u3001\u6253\u82b1\u724c\u7b49\u516b\u4e2a\u9635\u5f0f\u3002\u9635\u5f0f\u5e03\u5c40\u5de7\u5999\u4e25\u8c28\uff0c\u9020\u578b\u795e\u91c7\u5404\u5f02\u3002\u5176\u52a8\u4f5c\u7279\u70b9\u4e3a\u529f\u67b6\u4e0d\u5012\uff0c\u521a\u67d4\u76f8\u6d4e\uff0c\u75be\u800c\u4e0d\u4e71\u3002\u76fe\u724c\u821e\u7684\u97f3\u4e50\u7279\u70b9\u4e3b\u8981\u662f\u5438\u6536&ldquo;\u706f\u5f69&rdquo;\u4e2d\u7684\u5522\u5450\u66f2\u724c&ldquo;\u9523\u8154&rdquo;\u3001&ldquo;\u620f\u66f2&rdquo;\u4e2d\u957f\u97f3\u52a0\u82b1\u7684&ldquo;\u5357\u8def\u6563\u677f&rdquo;\u548c&ldquo;\u56fd\u672f&rdquo;\u4e2d\u7684\u5feb\u677f\u9523\u9f13\u7b49\uff0c\u52a0\u4e0a\u8868\u6f14\u8fc7\u7a0b\u4e2d\u4e0d\u65ad\u54cd\u8d77\u7684\u94ff\u9535\u7684\u77ed\u5200\u54cd\u73af\u58f0\u548c\u6f14\u5458\u4eec&ldquo;\u55ec\u55ec&rdquo;\u7684\u547c\u558a\u58f0\uff0c\u4e3a\u70ed\u95f9\u6c14\u6c1b\u7684\u8425\u9020\u8d77\u5230\u4e86\u5f88\u597d\u7684\u4f5c\u7528\u3002<br \/>  Dunpaiwu (shield dancing) presents a scene in which two armies fight against each other in different battle formations. The dance is performed by men. Two men holding tiger forks and another group of over eight men holding shields execute such movements as rolling, fighting, stumping and hiding, in order to develop eight battle arrays, including square arrays, single-line battle array, V-shaped array, wasp array, dapai, dragon gate array, pouch array and dahuapai. The arrays are cleverly and rigorously arranged, presenting different shapes and characteristic charm. These arrays combine vigor and suppleness, and enable fast movements but still maintain a good order, creating a lively atmosphere for the battle. The music of dunpaiwu (shield dance) absorbs the suona tune luoqiang of dengcai, nanlusanban (with long to<em><\/em>nes and ornaments) of traditio<em><\/em>nal Chinese opera, and allegretto gong and drum from natio<em><\/em>nal gymnastics. The music, with sounds produced by short swords and rattles and the &ldquo;ho ho&rdquo; sound produced by dancers, create an exciting atmosphere.<br \/>  \u76fe\u724c\u821e\u5728\u6c38\u65b0\u4e00\u5e26\u5bb6\u55bb\u6237\u6653\uff0c\u66fe\u6709&ldquo;\u4e0d\u7ec3\u76fe\u724c\u4e0d\u662f\u7537\u5b50\u6c49&rdquo;\u4e4b\u8bf4\uff0c\u7279\u522b\u662f\u5143\u5bb5&ldquo;\u51fa\u706f&rdquo;\u65f6\u66f4\u5c5e\u5fc5\u4e0d\u53ef\u5c11\u3002 \u5b83\u6df1\u53d7\u5f53\u5730\u6c11\u4f17\u559c\u7231\uff0c\u4e30\u5bcc\u4e86\u4eba\u4eec\u7684\u6587\u5316\u751f\u6d3b\u3002\u6c38\u65b0\u76fe\u724c\u821e\u662f\u8d63\u897f\u5357\u5c71\u533a\u6c11\u4fd7\u6c11\u98ce\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u7f29\u5f71\uff0c\u5b83\u4f53\u73b0\u51fa\u4e00\u79cd\u6700\u539f\u59cb\u7684\u6c11\u65cf\u51dd\u805a\u529b\u3001\u56e2\u961f\u7cbe\u795e\u548c\u6218\u6597\u7cbe\u795e\u3002\u5c31\u827a\u672f\u4ef7\u503c\u800c\u8a00\uff0c\u5b83\u96c6\u6b66\u672f\u3001\u6742\u800d\u3001\u821e\u8e48\u3001\u9020\u578b\u4e8e\u4e00\u4f53\uff0c\u6210\u4e3a\u5730\u65b9\u6587\u5316\u7684\u5178\u578b\u4ee3\u8868\u3002<br \/>  Dunpaiwu (shield dancing) is known to every family in Yongxin. It is an essential part of the chudeng (bringing the lanterns for the new babies of the year to the ancestral hall) ceremony in the Lantern Festival. There is even a saying that a man who does not practice shield dancing is not a real man. Dunpaiwu (shield dancing), deeply loved by the local people, enriches people&rsquo;s cultural life. Yo<em><\/em>ngxin dunpaiwu (shield dancing) is the epitome of folk custom in the mountainous areas of southwest Jiangxi Province, and reflects the most primitive cohesion of the nation, team spirit and fighting spirit. Dunpaiwu (shield dancing), a traditio<em><\/em>nal form of the local culture, is of high artistic value as it integrates martial arts, variety shows, dancing and moulding.<br \/>  \u6587\u5316\u751f\u6d3b\u7684\u65e5\u65b0\u6708\u5f02\u4ee5\u53ca\u8001\u827a\u4eba\u7684\u76f8\u7ee7\u53bb\u4e16\uff0c\u4f7f\u76fe\u724c\u821e\u9762\u4e34\u5931\u4f20\u7684\u5371\u9669\uff0c\u62a2\u6551\u5de5\u4f5c\u8feb\u5728\u7709\u776b\u3002<br \/>  Dunpaiwu (shield dancing) is in danger of being lost due to the fast pace of modern civilization and the death of old artists.
