In recognition of Han&rsquo;s contributions, Liu Bang co<em><\/em>nferred the titles of &ldquo;king of Qi&rdquo; on him in 203 BC and &ldquo;king of Chu&rdquo; in the following year. However, Liu Bang was afraid of Han&rsquo;s abilities and gradually reduced Han&rsquo;s military power, demoting him to Marquis of Huaiyin. In spite of his outstanding co<em><\/em>ntribution to the Han establishment, he was suspected by Liu Bang and was sentenced to death in the name of rebellion in the end.
