A recently-proposed film is in the works that will feature Shaolin kung fu, but this time, the martial art will be showcased in the world of animation.
\u5c11\u6797\u529f\u592b\u5c06\u518d\u6b21\u88ab\u642c\u4e0a\u94f6\u5c4f\uff0c\u4f46\u8fd9\u6b21\u7684\u529f\u592b\u5c06\u662f\u5728\u52a8\u6f2b\u4e16\u754c\u91cc\u5f97\u5230\u5c55\u793a\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

Renowned Taiwan-born director(\u5bfc\u6f14<\/strong>), cartoo<\/em>nist(\u6f2b\u753b\u5bb6)<\/strong> and s<\/em>cript-writer(\u7f16\u5267),<\/strong> Tsai Chih Chung, said the cartoon "Shaolin Temple"(\u5c11\u6797\u5bfa)<\/strong> is expected to(\u9884\u8ba1)<\/strong> be finished within 15 to 18 months, during a press co<\/em>nference(\u53d1\u5e03\u4f1a)<\/strong> held on May 4, 2014, at the Shaolin Temple in central China’s Henan province(\u7701).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tsai Chih Chung began drafting a s<\/em>cript(\u521b\u4f5c\u811a\u672c)<\/strong> for the film in 2006. Best known for his graphical works on Chinese philosophy(\u54f2\u5b66)<\/strong> and history(\u5386\u53f2)<\/strong>, Tsai also said he will make a cartoon that focuses on Buddhist philosophy(\u4f5b\u9640\u601d\u60f3). <\/strong>Animation in the 85-minute cartoon will be ba<\/em>sed on traditio<\/em>nal Chinese ink and wash paintings(\u4e2d\u56fd\u6c34\u58a8\u753b)<\/strong> to give the production an<\/strong> authentic feel(\u771f\u5b9e\u611f).<\/strong><\/p>\n

In support of the film, Shaolin abbot(\u65b9\u4e08)<\/strong> Shi Yo<\/em>ngxin spoke at the press conference, as well.<\/p>\n
