The ritual of embroidering dragon patterns on the emperor&#8217;s robe, however, dates back to as early as the Zhou Dynasty (11th century-256 B.C.).<\/p>\n<p>  \u5728\u6240\u7740\u957f\u888d\u4e0a\u7ee3\u6709\u9f99\u7684\u56fe\u6848\u662f\u6e05\u4ee3\u7687\u5e1d\u72ec\u6709\u7684\u6743\u5229\u3002\u4e0d\u8fc7\uff0c\u65e9\u5728\u5468\u4ee3\uff08\u516c\u5143\u524d11\u4e16\u7eaa\u81f3\u516c\u5143\u524d256\u5e74\uff09\u5c31\u6709\u4e3a\u5e1d\u738b\u7684\u957f\u888d\u523a\u7ee3\u9f99\u5f62\u56fe\u6848\u7684\u4eea\u5f0f\u3002<\/p>\n<p>  During the Yuan and Ming, the emperors were already wearing robes graced with dragon patterns, but it was not until the Qing that they were named &ldquo;dragon robes&rdquo; and became part of the official attire system. A dragon robe is either yellow or apricot-yellow dragons in color, and embroidered with nine yellow dragons and five-hued auspicious cloud patterns. <br \/>  \u4ece\u5143\u4ee3\u5230\u660e\u4ee3\uff0c\u7687\u5e1d\u5df2\u7ecf\u7a7f\u7740\u7ee3\u6709\u9f99\u56fe\u6848\u7684\u888d\u670d\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u76f4\u5230\u6e05\u4ee3\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e9b\u888d\u670d\u624d\u88ab\u547d\u540d\u4e3a&ldquo;\u9f99\u888d&rdquo;\u4e14\u6210\u4e3a\u5b98\u670d\u7cfb\u7edf\u7684\u4e00\u90e8\u5206\u3002\u9f99\u888d\u7684\u989c\u8272\u5e38\u4e3a\u9ec4\u8272\u6216\u674f\u9ec4\u8272\uff0c\u7ee3\u6709\u4e5d\u53ea\u9ec4\u9f99\u4e0e\u4e94\u6735\u7965\u4e91\u56fe\u6848\u3002<\/p>\n<p>  The clouds are interlaced with twelve other patterns&mdash;the sun, the moon and stars (representing the light of the throne), mountains (syno<em><\/em>nymous to stability to changes) auspicious bird (denoting elegance and beauty) water reeds (which represent purity and cleanness), and fire (meaning light). According to imperial Qing rituals, the emperor&#8217;s dragon robe was a kind of auspicious attire for lower-grade celebrations and ceremonies&mdash;it as by no means the highest grade of imperial attire. <br \/>  \u7965\u4e91\u540c\u5176\u4ed6\u7684\u5341\u4e8c\u4e2a\u56fe\u6848\u4ea4\u7ec7\u5728\u4e00\u8d77&mdash;&mdash;\u592a\u9633\u3001\u661f\u6708\uff08\u8c61\u5f81\u738b\u6743\u7684\u5149\u8f89\uff09\u3001\u9ad8\u5c71\uff08\u575a\u5b9a\u4e0e\u8f6c\u53d8\u7684\u540c\u4e49\u8bcd\uff09\u3001\u51e4\u51f0\uff08\u8868\u793a\u4f18\u96c5\u4e0e\u7f8e\u4e3d\uff09\u3001\u6c34\u846b\u82a6\uff08\u8c61\u5f81\u7eaf\u7cb9\u4e0e\u6d01\u767d\uff09\u4e0e\u706b\uff08\u610f\u4e3a\u5149\u660e\uff09\u3002\u6839\u636e\u6e05\u738b\u671d\u7684\u793c\u4eea\uff0c\u9f99\u888d\u662f\u4e00\u79cd\u53c2\u4e0e\u8f83\u4f4e\u7ea7\u522b\u76db\u4f1a\u4e0e\u7eaa\u5ff5\u6d3b\u52a8\u7684\u5409\u7965\u670d\u9970&mdash;&mdash;\u7edd\u975e\u6700\u9ad8\u7ea7\u522b\u7684\u5409\u7965\u670d\u9970\u3002<\/p>\n<p>  The dragon robe that was passed down from one emperor to another is embroidered with a dragon on the front and the back, before or behind the knees, on the shoulders, and on the lining of the chest. Thus a total of nine dragons are embroidered on a dragon robe.
