{"id":17421,"date":"2019-12-30T20:00:26","date_gmt":"2019-12-30T20:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chinesemoment.com\/chinese-culture\/project-211-211-gong-cheng\/"},"modified":"2019-12-30T20:00:26","modified_gmt":"2019-12-30T20:00:26","slug":"project-211-211-gong-cheng","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chinesemoment.com\/th\/project-211-211-gong-cheng\/","title":{"rendered":"Project 211 \u201c211\u5de5\u7a0b\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p><div>Project\uff08\u5de5\u7a0bg\u014dngch&eacute;ng\uff09 211 is the Chinese government&#39;s new endeavor\uff08\u52aa\u529bn\u01d4l&igrave;\uff09 aimed at strengthening about 100 institutions of higher education and key disciplinary areas as a national for the 21st century.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><div>&ldquo;211\u5de5\u7a0b&rdquo;\u662f\u6307\u4e2d\u56fd\u653f\u5e9c\u9762\u541121\u4e16\u7eaa\u91cd\u70b9\u5efa\u8bbe\u7684100\u6240\u5de6\u53f3\u7684\u9ad8\u7b49\u5b66\u6821\u548c\u4e00\u6279\u91cd\u70b9\u5b66\u79d1\u7684\u5efa\u8bbe\u5de5\u7a0b\u3002<\/div>\n<div>The implementation\uff08\u5c65\u884cl\u01dax&iacute;ng\uff09 of Project 211 is an important measure taken by the Chinese government in its effort to facilitate the development of higher education in the context of the country&#39;s advancement in social and economic fields. Primarily aiming at training high-level professional manpower to implement the national strategy for social and economic development, the project has great significance\uff08\u610f\u4e49y&igrave;y&igrave;\uff09 in improving higher education, accelerating the national economic progress, pushing forward the development of science, technology and culture, enhancing China&rsquo;s overall capacity and international competitiveness, and laying the foundation of training high- level professional manpower mainly within the educational institutions at home.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><div>&ldquo;211\u5de5\u7a0b&rdquo;\u662f\u5728\u56fd\u5bb6\u793e\u4f1a\u7ecf\u6d4e\u9886\u57df\u5f97\u5230\u63d0\u5347\u8fd9\u4e00\u73af\u5883\u4e0b\uff0c\u4e2d\u56fd\u653f\u5e9c\u4e3a\u52aa\u529b\u4fc3\u8fdb\u9ad8\u7b49\u6559\u80b2\u800c\u5b9e\u884c\u7684\u4e00\u9879\u91cd\u8981\u4e3e\u63aa\u3002\u8be5\u5de5\u7a0b\u4e3b\u8981\u65e8\u5728\u4e3a\u5b9e\u73b0\u56fd\u5bb6\u793e\u4f1a\u7ecf\u6d4e\u53d1\u5c55\u6218\u7565\uff0c\u57f9\u80b2\u9ad8\u6c34\u5e73\u4e13\u4e1a\u4eba\u624d\uff0c\u5bf9\u63d0\u5347\u9ad8\u7b49\u6559\u80b2\u3001\u52a0\u901f\u7ecf\u6d4e\u53d1\u5c55\u3001\u63a8\u52a8\u79d1\u5b66\u79d1\u6280\u6587\u5316\u8fdb\u6b65\u3001\u589e\u5f3a\u4e2d\u56fd\u7efc\u5408\u56fd\u529b\u4e0e\u56fd\u9645\u7ade\u4e89\u529b\u6709\u7740\u91cd\u8981\u610f\u4e49\uff0c\u4e3b\u8981\u4e3a\u56fd\u5185\u7684\u6559\u80b2\u7814\u7a76\u9662\u63d0\u5347\u9ad8\u6c34\u5e73\u4e13\u4e1a\u4eba\u624d\u57f9\u517b\u5960\u5b9a\u4e86\u57fa\u7840\u3002<\/div>\n<div>During the 9th Five &#8211; Year Plan period, the government will initiate actions to strengthen a number of institutions of higher learning and key disciplinary areas. It is envisaged that after several years&#39; efforts some l00 institutions of higher learning and a group of key disciplinary areas will have greatly improved their quality of education, scientific research, management and institutional efficiency\uff08\u6548\u7387xi&agrave;ol\u01dc\uff09. In addition, these institutions will also have made remarkable progress in reforming the management system and consequently become the bases for training high-level professional manpower and solving major problems for the country&#39;s economic construction and social development. As a result of such efforts, this group of institutions will set up national standards in overall quality, with some of the key universities and disciplinary areas approaching or reaching the advanced international standards. The majority of them will have enhanced their physical conditions and staff competence, in addition to noticeable achievements in human resources training and scientific research.
