Ch\u01d4guó yígè xìng Hé de rén zài Ch\u01d4 Sh\u0101n zh\u014dng dé dào yíkuài wèi ji\u0101g\u014dng de yùshí, p\u011bngzhe jìnxiàn g\u011bi lìwáng. Lìwáng jiào yùg\u014dng jiàndìng, yùg\u014dng shu\u014d:“zhèshì shítóu.”lìwáng rènwéi Hé shì shì gùyì q\u012bpiàn t\u0101, y\u012bn’ér k\u01cen le t\u0101 de zu\u01d2ji\u01ceo.
\t\u695a\u56fd\u4e00\u4e2a\u59d3\u548c\u7684\u4eba\u5728\u695a\u5c71\u4e2d\u5f97\u5230\u4e00\u5757\u672a\u52a0\u5de5\u7684\u7389\u77f3\uff0c\u6367\u7740\u8fdb\u732e\u7ed9\u5389\u738b\u3002\u5389\u738b\u53eb\u7389\u5de5\u9274\u5b9a\uff0c\u7389\u5de5\u8bf4\uff1a“\u8fd9\u662f\u77f3\u5934\u3002”\u5389\u738b\u8ba4\u4e3a\u548c\u6c0f\u662f\u6545\u610f\u6b3a\u9a97\u4ed6\uff0c\u56e0\u800c\u780d\u4e86\u4ed6\u7684\u5de6\u811a\u3002<\/div>\n
A man of the state of Chu named Bian He found a piece of uncut jade in the Chu mountain. Holding the jade with both hands he respectfully presented it to King Li. The king ordered a jade craftsman to examine it.“This is stone,” said the craftsman.The king thought that Bian He was trying to deceive him so he gave orders to cut off his left foot.<\/div>\n

\t\u7b49\u5230\u5389\u738b\u6b7b\u4e86\uff0c\u6b66\u738b\u5373\u4f4d\uff0c\u548c\u6c0f\u53c8\u6367\u7740\u4ed6\u7684\u7389\u77f3\u732e\u7ed9\u6b66\u738b\u3002\u6b66\u738b\u53eb\u7389\u5de5\u9274\u5b9a\uff0c\u7389\u5de5\u53c8\u8bf4\uff1a“\u662f\u77f3\u5934\u3002”\u6b66\u738b\u53c8\u8ba4\u4e3a\u548c\u6c0f\u662f\u6b3a\u9a97\u5c31\u780d\u4e86\u4ed6\u7684\u53f3\u811a\u3002<\/div>\n
After the death of King Li, King Wu ascended the throne. Again Bian He came with the jade in his hands to present it to King Wu. King Wu ordered a jade craftsman to examine it.“This is stone,” said the craftsman again.The king also thought Bian He was trying to deceive him, so he gave orders to cut off his right foot.<\/div>\n

\t\u6b66\u738b\u6b7b\uff0c\u6587\u738b\u5373\u4f4d\uff0c\u548c\u6c0f\u5c31\u62b1\u7740\u4ed6\u7684\u7389\u77f3\u5728\u695a\u5c71\u4e4b\u4e0b\u5927\u54ed\uff0c\u4e00\u76f4\u54ed\u4e86\u4e09\u5929\u4e09\u591c\uff0c\u773c\u6cea\u6d41\u5e72\u5c31\u7ee7\u7eed\u6d41\u7740\u8840\u3002<\/div>\n
After the death of King Wu, King Wen came to the throne. Bian He took the piece of uncut jade in his arms and wept at the foot of the Chu Mountain, He wept for three days and three nights. When he had no more tears he wept blood.<\/div>\n

Wénwáng t\u012bng dào hòu, pài rén wèn t\u0101 k\u016b de yuány\u012bn, shu\u014d \uff1a“ti\u0101nxià bèi kànji\u01ceo de rén du\u014d l\u0101, n\u01d0 wèishénme k\u016b dé zhèyàng b\u0113itòng?”Hé shì shu\u014d \uff1a“w\u01d2 búshì b\u0113itòng zìj\u01d0 de ji\u01ceo bèi k\u01cen, w\u01d2 b\u0113itòng de shì b\u01ceoyù bèi shu\u014d chéng shì shítóu, zh\u0113nchéng de rén bèi shu\u014d chéng shì piànz\u01d0. Zhè cái shì w\u01d2 b\u0113itòng de yuány\u012bn.”
\t\u6587\u738b\u542c\u5230\u540e\uff0c\u6d3e\u4eba\u95ee\u4ed6\u54ed\u7684\u539f\u56e0\uff0c\u8bf4\uff1a“\u5929\u4e0b\u88ab\u770b\u811a\u7684\u4eba\u591a\u5566\uff0c\u4f60\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u54ed\u5f97\u8fd9\u6837\u60b2\u75db\uff1f”\u548c\u6c0f\u8bf4:“\u6211\u4e0d\u662f\u60b2\u75db\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u811a\u88ab\u780d\uff0c\u6211\u60b2\u75db\u7684\u662f\u5b9d\u7389\u88ab\u8bf4\u6210\u662f\u77f3\u5934\uff0c\u771f\u8bda\u7684\u4eba\u88ab\u8bf4\u6210\u662f\u9a97\u5b50\u3002\u8fd9\u624d\u662f\u6211\u60b2\u75db\u7684\u539f\u56e0\u3002”<\/div>\n
This came to the ears of the king and he sent someone to ask Bian He the reason for his grief. “There are many men who had their feet cut off as punishment,” said the king’s messenger, “why do you weep so bitterly?”“I am not sad because my feet were cut off,” replied Bian He, “I grive because a precious stone is considered a common rock and an upright. And loyal man is branded a liar. This is the cause of my sorrow.”<\/div>\n

The king ordered jade craftsmen to cut open the stone. They discovered a piece of precious jade which was thereupon namedBian-he Diamond<\/em>.<\/p>\n
