As the only Chinese nominee, Lee outdid superstar Justin Bieber and other nine famous singers worldwide with a total of more than 100 million global votes.<\/p>\n<p>  \t29-year-old Lee was crowned champion of the 2005 edition of &quot;Super Girl,&quot; a nationwide singing competition. Her first album &quot;Queen and Dreams&quot; (2006) reached sales numbers of 1.37 million. Since her debut, she has released seven top-selling albums, 52 No.1 singles and three films. Time Magazine has named Lee the &quot;Asian Hero&quot; and &quot;Icon of Chinese Pop Culture.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>  \tDressed in a white blouse and shiny beaded black jacket, Lee received her award wearing a confident smile on her face. In her acceptance speech, she expressed her gratitude to the event&#39;s organizers and her fans and those people who love Chinese music.<\/p>\n<p>  \t&ldquo;Thank you MTV. Thank you, all my fans. Thank you all the people who love Chinese music. Enjoy the night, enjoy the music. I love you! Thank you very much!&rdquo; Lee said on the stage after accepting the trophy.<\/p>\n<p>  \tThe MTV European Music Awards is one of the top international pop music awards.
