Every individual has his or her own talent and skills, his or her own way of handling things. You might come across this Chinese idiom \u516b\u4ed9\u8fc7\u6d77, \u5404\u663e\u795e\u901a(B\u0101 Xi\u0101n guò h\u01cei, gè xi\u01cen shént\u014dng) before, or if not, you’re probably meet it in the near future. It is used to describe that every one uses their own means or tricks to reach the same goal. It implies that every one is trying his \/ her best to achieve the goal independently.<\/p>\n

This ex<\/em>pression in Chinese came from a folklore story. You’ll be treated with a video to watch later. I’ll lay out the brief story line here for you to read first, both in Chinese, pinyin and English:<\/p>\n

    \u4f20\u8bf4\u53e4\u65f6\u5019\u6709\u516b\u4e2a\u795e\u4ed9\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u5206\u522b\u662f\u94c1\u62d0\u674e\u3001\u5f20\u679c\u8001\u3001\u6c49\u949f\u79bb\u3001\u66f9\u56fd\u8205\u3001\u84dd\u91c7\u548c\u3001\u5415\u6d1e\u5bbe\u3001\u4f55\u4ed9\u59d1\u4e0e\u97e9\u6e58\u5b50\u3002\u8fd9\u516b\u4e2a\u795e\u4ed9\u5916\u8c8c\u548c\u813e\u6c14\u90fd\u5404\u6709\u7279\u8272\uff0c\u7ecf\u5e38\u5728\u4e00\u8d77\u805a\u4f1a\u8bba\u9053\uff0c\u5c55\u793a\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u72ec\u95e8\u6cd5\u672f\u3002<\/p>\n

    o<\/em>nce upon a time, there were eight immortals that always get together to show each other their own spells. One day, they came together to attend Queen Mother’s peach party. They has to cross east sea in order to get to the party venue. Then, Lu Dong Bing, one of the immortals suggested that each of them threw one magic treasure into the sea to get across.  Everyone agreed. So they threw crane, basket, flute, wood pad, drum, paper donkey, jade slate, and bamboo mask into the sea one by one. Each of these magic treasure turned into a unique float device to send them over the sea to finally attend the party.<\/p>\n
