Its unique geographic, economy, culture and history together provide the necessary co<em><\/em>nditions for the development and inheritance of local customs and folk cultures. Hence the richness of folk cultures of Xiabaoping.<br \/>  \u636e\u8c03\u67e5\uff0c\u4e0b\u5821\u576a\u4e61\u53ca\u5468\u8fb9\u6d41\u4f20\u7684\u6c11\u95f4\u6545\u4e8b\u6709\u4e24\u5343\u591a\u4e2a\u3002\u8fd9\u91cc\u80fd\u8bb250\u4e2a\u6545\u4e8b\u4ee5\u4e0a\u7684\u6709\u4e00\u767e\u591a\u4eba\uff0c\u5176\u4e2d\u80fd\u8bb2100\u4e2a\u6545\u4e8b\u4ee5\u4e0a\u7684\u6709\u4e8c\u5341\u591a\u4eba\uff0c\u80fd\u8bb2200\u4e2a\u6545\u4e8b\u4ee5\u4e0a\u7684\u67094\u4eba\u3002\u73b0\u5e7467\u5c81\u7684\u8c2d\u5bb6\u576a\u6751\u519c\u6c11\u5218\u5fb7\u65b9\u80fd\u8bb2\u56db\u767e\u591a\u4e2a\u6545\u4e8b\uff0c\u4e14\u80fd\u4f20\u5531\u4e00\u767e\u591a\u4e07\u5b57\u7684\u5c71\u6b4c\u3001\u8585\u8349\u9523\u9f13\u6b4c\u3001\u4e27\u9f13\u6b4c\u3001\u82b1\u9f13\u620f\u548c\u76ae\u5f71\u620f\u30022005\u5e746\u67088\u65e5\uff0c\u4e2d\u56fd\u6c11\u95f4\u6587\u827a\u5bb6\u534f\u4f1a\u628a\u4ed6\u547d\u540d\u4e3a&ldquo;\u4e2d\u56fd\u6c11\u95f4\u6545\u4e8b\u5bb6&rdquo;\u3002<br \/>  According to survey, there are more than 2,000 folktales circulating through Xiabaoping Township and the neighboring area. Here you can find over 100 men who can tell more than 50 stories, of which over 20 can tell more than 100 stories, and four can tell over 400 stories. Liu Defang, 67, a farmer of Tanjiaping Village, can tell over 400 stories and, more im<em><\/em>portantly, is capable of song and dance performance including Mountain Song, Gong and Drum Weeding Song, Funeral Drum Song, Flower Drum Song, and Shadow Show Song. On June 8th, 2005, Mr. Liu was co<em><\/em>nferred upon the title &ldquo;China Folklore Story-teller&rdquo; by China Society for the Study of Folk Literature and Art.<br \/>  \u4e0b\u5821\u576a\u4e61\u6c11\u95f4\u6545\u4e8b\u539f\u751f\u6001\u4f5c\u54c1\u591a\uff0c\u5927\u90fd\u5177\u6709\u9c9c\u660e\u7684\u672c\u5730\u7279\u8272\uff0c\u6545\u4e8b\u7684\u6587\u5316\u54c1\u4f4d\u8f83\u9ad8\u3002\u5982\u5728\u5218\u5fb7\u65b9\u4f20\u8bb2\u7684\u6545\u4e8b\u4e2d\uff0c\u5c31\u6709\u4e00\u767e\u591a\u4e2a\u542b\u6709\u8bd7\u8bcd\u5bf9\u8054\u7b49\u6587\u5b66\u5f62\u5f0f\uff0c\u9ad8\u96c5\u800c\u7cbe\u81f4\u3002\u957f\u5de5\u8463\u56fd\u5929\u7684\u6545\u4e8b\u7cfb\u5217\u548c\u9648\u74e6\u5320\u7684\u6545\u4e8b\u7cfb\u5217\u5206\u5f00\u8bb2\u662f\u6570\u767e\u5219\u5c0f\u6545\u4e8b\uff0c\u5408\u8d77\u6765\u770b\u662f\u4e24\u90e8\u9e3f\u7bc7\u5de8\u5236\uff0c\u5b9e\u4e3a\u6c11\u95f4\u6545\u4e8b\u4e2d\u6240\u7f55\u89c1\u3002<br \/>  Xiabaoping Township has a wealth of folktales in &ldquo;crude&rdquo; state, most of them exhibiting a remarkably local flavor and possessing a high level of cultural attainment. For example, of the folk stories told by Liu Defang, there are more than 100 that co<em><\/em>ntain dozens of well-written, elegant poems and couplets. As for the two folktale series Long-term Hired Hand Dong Tianguo and Chen the Bricklayer, they are actually rarely seen works &#8211; when told separately, they come in hundreds of short stories while put together, they loom as two marvelous masterpieces of the folklore genre.<br \/>  \u8fd1\u51e0\u5e74\uff0c\u4e2d\u56fd\u793e\u79d1\u9662\u3001\u4e2d\u56fd\u6587\u8054\u3001\u4e2d\u56fd\u6c11\u534f\u53ca\u6e56\u5317\u7701\u6587\u8054\u3001\u5b9c\u660c\u5e02\u6587\u8054\u5148\u540e8\u6b21\u8c03\u67e5\u5e76\u5f00\u5c55\u5b66\u672f\u7814\u8ba8\uff0c\u8ba4\u4e3a\u4ee5\u5218\u5fb7\u65b9\u6c11\u95f4\u6545\u4e8b\u96c6\u300a\u91ce\u5c71\u7b11\u6797\u300b\u4e3a\u4ee3\u8868\u7684\u4e0b\u5821\u576a\u4e61\u6c11\u95f4\u6545\u4e8b\u662f\u4e09\u5ce1\u575d\u533a&mdash;&mdash;\u5b9c\u660c\u5e02\u5937\u9675\u533a\u4ee5\u53ca\u6574\u4e2a\u4e09\u5ce1\u5730\u533a\u6c11\u95f4\u6587\u5b66\u7684\u7f29\u5f71\uff0c\u6709\u8f83\u9ad8\u7684\u5b66\u672f\u4ef7\u503c\u548c\u9274\u8d4f\u4ef7\u503c\u3002<br \/>  In recent years, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, China Society for the Study of Folk Literature and Art and Hubei Province Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Yichang City Federation of Literary and Art Circles have jointly co<em><\/em>nducted 8 times of survey and held several rounds of academic symposiums.
