When the Iphone5 didn’t take China by storm, investors were disappointed to say the least.<\/p>\n

Because the stock didn’t grow in late December of 2012, Apple’s stock took a major 10% plunge. This caused a lot of the major suppliers to scramble for marketshare elsewher.<\/p>\n

There’s a quick and easy way to describe how these suppliers are trying to out do each other in their quest to find more marketshare with one Chinese idiom – \u4e89\u5148\u6050\u540e!<\/p>\n

\u4e89\u5148\u6050\u540e(zh\u0113ng xi\u0101n k\u01d2ng hòu): out doing one another; scrambling; striving to be first and fearing to be last<\/p>\n

A breakdown of the characters in \u4e89\u5148\u6050\u540e(zh\u0113ng xi\u0101n k\u01d2ng hòu):

\u4e89(zh\u0113ng): strive. \u4e89\u7740(zh\u0113ng zhe).
\u5148(xi\u0101n): first. \u524d\u9762(qián miàn).
\u6050(k\u01d2ng): for fear of. \u552f\u6050(wéi k\u01d2ng).
