During the final years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, there lived a famous physician named Hua Tuo, whose skill with medicine was superb.<\/div>\n

Yí cì, y\u01d2u li\u01ceng gè rén d\u014du huàn le touting-f\u0101rè de bìng, tóngshí lái zh\u01ceo Huà Tuó zhìbìng. J\u012bng guò xiángxì xúnwèn bìngqíng, xìx\u012bn zh\u011bnduàn hòu, Huà Tuó g\u011bi t\u0101 li\u01ceng rén gè k\u0101i le yí gè yàof\u0101ng. Li\u01ceng gè rén hùxiàng kàn le duìf\u0101ng de yàof\u0101ng hòu, g\u01cen dào h\u011bn qíguài, wèn dào:” w\u01d2men li\u01ceng rén d\u014du huàn yíyàng de bìng, wèishénme yòng de yào què bù yí yàng ne?”
\u4e00\u6b21\uff0c\u6709\u4e24\u4e2a\u4eba\u90fd\u60a3\u4e86\u5934\u75db\u53d1\u70ed\u7684\u75c5\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u6765\u627e\u534e\u4f57\u6cbb\u75c5\u3002\u7ecf\u8fc7\u8be6\u7ec6\u8be2\u95ee\u75c5\u60c5\uff0c\u7ec6\u5fc3\u8bca\u65ad\u540e\uff0c\u534e\u4f57\u7ed9\u4ed6\u4fe9\u4eba\u5404\u5f00\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u836f\u65b9\u3002\u4e24\u4e2a\u4eba\u4e92\u76f8\u770b\u4e86\u5bf9\u65b9\u7684\u836f\u65b9\u540e\uff0c\u611f\u5230\u5f88\u5947\u602a\uff0c\u95ee\u9053\uff1a“\u6211\u4eec\u4e24\u4eba\u90fd\u60a3\u4e00\u6837\u7684\u75c5\uff0c\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u7528\u7684\u836f\u5374\u4e0d\u4e00\u6837\u5462\uff1f”<\/div>\n
One day, two men suffering from headaches and fever both came to Hua Tuo. After detailed questio<\/em>ning and careful diagnosis, he prescribed treatments for the two men. Upon comparing the two pres<\/em>criptions, the two men were puzzled, and asked, ”The two of us are suffering from the same illness .Why are the medications you prescribed different?”<\/div>\n

Hua Tuo replied, “Treatment depends on the specific circumstances of the patient.
Huá Tuó ji\u011bshì shu\u014d:” Yòng yào yào kàn bìngrén de jùt\u01d0 bìngqíng. Su\u012brán n\u01d0 èr rén bìngzhèng xiàngtóng, dàn huànbìng de yuány\u012bn què bù tong. Yí gè rén de sh\u0113nt\u01d0 nèibù d\u014du méiy\u01d2u shén shénme máobìng, yóuyú wàibù shòu liáng, g\u01cenmào y\u01d0n q\u01d0 de, su\u01d2y\u01d0 yào ch\u012b f\u0101sàn yào; ér lìng yí gè rén de sh\u0113nt\u01d0 wàibù méiy\u01d2u shénme máobìng, bìng shì yóu nèibù y\u01d0n q\u01d0 de, y\u012bnwèi ch\u012b de d\u014dngx\u012b tài du\u014d le, sh\u0101ngshí, su\u01d2y\u01d0 yào ch\u012b xièyào. Huànbìng de yuány\u012bn bù tong, d\u0101ngrán yòng yào jiù bù néng xiàngtóng le.”
\u534e\u4f57\u89e3\u91ca\u8bf4\uff1a“\u7528\u836f\u8981\u770b\u75c5\u4eba\u7684\u5177\u4f53\u75c5\u60c5\u3002\u867d\u7136\u4f60\u4e8c\u4eba\u75c5\u75c7\u76f8\u540c\uff0c\u4f46\u60a3\u75c5\u7684\u539f\u56e0\u5374\u4e0d\u540c\u3002\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eba\u7684\u8eab\u4f53\u5185\u90e8\u90fd\u6ca1\u6709\u4ec0\u4e48\u6bdb\u75c5\uff0c\u7531\u4e8e\u5916\u90e8\u53d7\u51c9\u3001\u611f\u5192\u5f15\u8d77\u7684\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u8981\u5403 \u53d1\u6563\u836f\uff1b\u800c\u53e6\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eba\u7684\u8eab\u4f53\u5916\u90e8\u6ca1\u6709\u4ec0\u4e48\u6bdb\u75c5\uff0c\u75c5\u662f\u7531\u5185\u90e8\u5f15\u8d77\u7684\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u5403\u7684\u4e1c\u897f\u592a\u591a\u4e86\uff0c\u4f24\u98df\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u8981\u5403\u6cfb\u836f\u3002\u60a3\u75c5\u7684\u539f\u56e0\u4e0d\u540c\uff0c\u5f53\u7136\u7528\u836f\u5c31\u4e0d\u80fd\u76f8\u540c\u4e86\u3002”<\/div>\n
Although the two of you have similar illnesses, their causes are actually quite different. One has nothing wrong internally, but has co<\/em>ntracted a cold from external causes. The other one has nothing wrong externally, but has become ill from excessive eating and drinking; an internal problem.
