{"id":7985,"date":"2019-10-11T11:41:36","date_gmt":"2019-10-11T11:41:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chinesemoment.com\/chinese-reading\/colombian-takes-wingsuit-crown\/"},"modified":"2019-10-11T11:41:36","modified_gmt":"2019-10-11T11:41:36","slug":"colombian-takes-wingsuit-crown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chinesemoment.com\/th\/colombian-takes-wingsuit-crown\/","title":{"rendered":"Colombian takes wingsuit crown"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Colombian wingsuiter Jho<em><\/em>nathan Florez was crowned champion of the Second World Wingsuit Champio<em><\/em>nship on Sunday, in a tournament marred by the death of Hungarian wingsuit flyer Victor Kovats.<\/p>\n<p>  Florez edged ahead in the final held at Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie, Hunan province, with a jump of 23.40 seconds, followed by US flyer Noah Bahnson and Frenchman Vincent Descols.<\/p>\n<p>  Kovats plunged to his death during a trial flight at the Tianmen Mountain Natio<em><\/em>nal Forest Park on Tuesday and was co<em><\/em>nfirmed dead by rescuers on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>  Out of respect for the memory of Kovats, the World Wingsuit League decided not to jump the side of the mountain wher he had crashed.
