He was <\/span><strong><font size=\"2\">Bruce Lee<\/font><\/strong><span><strong> &#39;s <\/strong>(\u674e\u5c0f\u9f99 L\u01d0 Xi\u01ceol&oacute;ng) father and was a Hong Kong <strong>Cantonese opera <\/strong>(\u7ca4\u5267 Yu&egrave;j&ugrave; ) singer and film actor. Lee Hoi-chuen and his wife, Grace Ho, were in San Francisco in 1940 when Bruce Lee was born; they were on a one-year U.S. tour with the Cantonese Opera Company. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>  \t<span>Their other son Robert, Bruce&#39;s younger brother was famous in Hong Kong during the 1960s as the lead singer and founder of a popular beat band The Thunderbirds. Lee Hoi-chuen died on Feb. 7, 1965, just a few days after his 64th birthday, and a week after the birth of his grandson, Brandon Lee.
