Covering an area of 16.3 hectares (40.4 acres), it mainly consists of the Xi&rsquo;an Museum, the ancient Jianfu Temple and the famous Small Wild Goose Pagoda.<\/div>\n<div>\u6628\u5929\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u7ed9\u5927\u5bb6\u63cf\u8ff0\u4e86\u5927\u96c1\u5854\uff0c\u73b0\u5728\u7ed9\u5927\u5bb6\u8bf4\u8bf4\u4ed6\u7684\u59ca\u59b9\u5854&#8212;\u5c0f\u96c1\u5854\u3002\u5c0f\u96c1\u5854\u5750\u843d\u4e8e\u897f\u5b89\u7684\u5357\u9762\u8ddd\u79bb\u57ce\u5899\u5927\u6982\u4e24\u516c\u91cc\u7684\u5730\u65b9\u3002\u5c0f\u96c1\u5854\u7684\u5360\u5730\u9762\u79ef\u7ea6\u4e3a16.3\u5e73\u65b9\u7c73\uff0c\u6574\u4e2a\u666f\u533a\u4e3b\u8981\u7531\u897f\u5b89\u535a\u7269\u9986\uff0c\u8350\u798f\u53e4\u5bfa\u548c\u5c0f\u96c1\u5854\u6784\u6210\u3002<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><div>The Small Wild Goose Pagoda was built in the year 707 A.D during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). As it is newer and smaller than the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the name was given to distinguish the two. Unlike the grand Big Wild Goose Pagoda, it is <strong>dainty<\/strong>(\u79c0\u4e3d\u7684<font color=\"#000000\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" new=\"\" style=\"font-family: \u5b8b\u4f53; font-size: 12pt;\" times=\"\">xi<\/span><span new=\"\" style=\"font-family: \u5b8b\u4f53; font-size: 12pt;\" times=\"\">&ugrave;<span lang=\"EN-US\">l<\/span>&igrave;<span lang=\"EN-US\">de<\/span><\/span><\/font>) and <strong>exquisite<\/strong>(\u7cbe\u81f4j\u012bn\u0261zh&igrave;) in its appearance. It is an important cultural relic and one of the remaining symbols of ancient Chang&#39;an (the name of Xi&rsquo;an in the Tang Dynasty).<\/div>\n<div>\u5c0f\u96c1\u5854\u5efa\u4e8e\u516c\u5143707\u5e74\uff0c\u76f8\u6bd4\u4e8e\u5927\u96c1\u5854\u800c\u8a00\uff0c\u5b83\u5c0f\u4e86\u5f88\u591a\uff0c\u4e8c\u8005\u53ea\u662f\u4e3a\u4e86\u6709\u4e00\u4e2a\u533a\u5206\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u624d\u88ab\u79f0\u4e3a\u5c0f\u96c1\u5854\u3002\u548c\u5927\u96c1\u5854\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u662f\uff0c\u5c0f\u96c1\u5854\u5916\u8868\u79c0\u4e3d\u7cbe\u81f4\uff0c\u5e76\u4e14\u5b83\u662f\u4e2d\u56fd\u957f\u5b89\u5386\u53f2\u6587\u5316\u4e2d\u4e00\u4e2a\u4e0d\u53ef\u7f3a\u5c11\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u6807\u5fd7\u3002<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><div>The construction of the pagoda is a wonder. Because Xi&rsquo;an is located in an area where earthquakes sometimes occur, the pagoda base is made from packed earth in the shape of a <strong>hemisphere<\/strong>(\u534a\u7403b&agrave;nqi&uacute;). In case of an earthquake, the pressure can be evenly divided, thus the pagoda has remained standing after over seventy earthquakes. After so many earthquakes, only the <strong>pinnacle<\/strong>(\u9876\u5cf0d\u01d0n\u0261f\u0113n\u0261) and the two upper floors (the original pagoda had fifteen stories) have been damaged. Remarkably, cracks in the pagoda which occurred during earthquakes have been closed by quakes that came later.<\/div>\n<div>\u5c0f\u96c1\u5854\u7684\u5efa\u7acb\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u5947\u8ff9\u3002\u56e0\u4e3a\u897f\u5b89\u5730\u5904\u5730\u9707\u591a\u53d1\u5e26\uff0c\u800c\u5854\u5c31\u662f\u5efa\u7acb\u5728\u8fd9\u4e00\u534a\u7403\u7684\u5730\u9707\u5e26\u4e0a\u3002\u7531\u4e8e\u5730\u9707\u7684\u539f\u56e0\uff0c\u538b\u5f3a\u4f1a\u88ab\u5206\u4e3a\u4e24\u534a\uff0c\u800c\u5854\u5374\u572870\u591a\u6b21\u7684\u5730\u9707\u4e2d\u4ecd\u7136\u5e78\u5b58\u4e0b\u6765\u3002\u5728\u591a\u6b21\u5730\u9707\u540e\uff0c\u53ea\u6709\u5854\u9876\u4e24\u5c42\u6709\u6240\u635f\u574f\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u636e\u8bf4\u635f\u574f\u7684\u88c2\u7f1d\u53ea\u6709\u5728\u5730\u9707\u65f6\u624d\u4f1a\u51fa\u73b0\uff0c\u5730\u9707\u4e4b\u540e\u88c2\u7f1d\u53c8\u4f1a\u81ea\u5df1\u5408\u4e0a\u3002<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><div>A giant iron bell 3.5 meters (11.4 feet) in height and about 10 tons in weight resides in the Jianfu Temple. It makes a magnificent clear sound that can be heard more than three miles away.
