His parents died when he was a child. Later he was driven out of his home by his sister-in-law. So he lived by himself herding cattle and farming. One day, a fairy from&nbsp; heaven Zhi Nu fell in love with him and came down secretly to earth and married him. The cowhand farmed in the field and the Weaver Maid wove at home. They lived a happy life and gave birth to a boy and a girl. Unfortunately, the God of Heaven soon found out the fact and ordered the Queen Mother of the Western Heavens to bring the Weaver Maid back.With the help of celestial cattle, the Cowhand flew to heaven with his son and daughter. At the time when he was about to catch up with his wife, the Queen Mother took off one of her gold hairpins and made a stroke. One billowy river appeared in front of the Cowhand. The Cowhand and Weaver Maid were separated on the two banks forever and could only feel their tears. Their loyalty to love touched magpies, so tens of thousands of magpies came to build a bridge for the Cowhand and Weaver Maid to meet each other. The Queen Mother was eventually moved and allowed them to meet each year on the 7th of the 7th lunar month. Hence their meeting date has been called &quot;Qi Xi&quot; \uff08Double Seventh\uff09.<\/p>\n<p>  Traditional celebrations:<\/p>\n<p>  In bygone days, Qixi was not only a special day for lovers, but also for girls. It is also known as the &quot;Begging for Skills Festival&quot; or &quot;Daughters&#8217; Festival.&quot; <br \/>  In the past, girls would conduct a ceremony to beg Zhinu for wisdom, dexterity and a satisfying marriage in the future. <br \/>  This was not the case all over China, as the festival varied from region to region. <br \/>  In some parts of Shandong Province, young women offered fruit and pastries to pray for a bright mind. If spiders were seen to weave webs on sacrificial objects, it was believed the Waving Girl was offering positive feedback. <br \/>  In other regions, seven close friends would gather to make dumplings. They put into three separate dumplings a needle, a copper coin and a red date, which represented perfect needlework skills, good fortune and an early marriage. <br \/>  Girls also held weaving and needlework competitions to see who had the best hands and the brightest mind, both prerequisites for making a good wife and mother in ancient China. <br \/>  Young women in southern China used to weave small handicrafts with colored paper, grass and thread. <br \/>  Afterwards, they competed to pass a thread through the eyes of seven needles in a single breath.<\/p>\n<p>  \u4f20\u8bf4\u53e4\u65f6\u5019\u6709\u4e2a\u5584\u826f\u7684\u5e74\u8f7b\u4eba\uff0c\u540d\u53eb\u725b\u90ce\u3002\u4ed6\u7684\u7236\u6bcd\u65e9\u901d\uff0c\u5e38\u906d\u5144\u5ac2\u6b3a\u8d1f\uff0c\u8fde\u5bb6\u4ea7\u90fd\u6ca1\u5f97\u5206\uff0c\u53ea\u7559\u7ed9\u4ed6\u4e00\u6761\u8001\u725b\uff0c\u5b83\u662f\u5929\u4e0a\u7684\u91d1\u725b\u661f\u53d8\u7684\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u89e6\u72af\u4e86\u5929\u6761\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u88ab\u7389\u5e1d\u8d2c\u5230\u51e1\u95f4\u4e3a\u725b\uff0c\u5b83\u770b\u5584\u826f\u7684\u725b\u90ce\u53d7\u4eba\u6b3a\u8d1f\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u51b3\u5b9a\u8981\u5e2e\u4ed6\u3002\u4e00\u5929\uff0c\u5b83\u5ffd\u7136\u5f00\u53e3\u544a\u8bc9\u725b\u90ce\uff0c\u4e1c\u8fb9\u5c71\u4e0b\u6709\u4e2a\u6e56\uff0c\u6bcf\u5929\u90fd\u6709\u4e03\u4e2a\u4ed9\u5973\u5230\u6e56\u91cc\u6d17\u6fa1\uff0c\u53ea\u8981\u725b\u90ce\u5077\u8d70\u5176\u4e2d\u7684\u4e00\u4ef6\u8863\u88f3\uff0c\u4f7f\u90a3\u4ed9\u5973\u65e0\u6cd5\u8fd4\u56de\u5929\u5bab\uff0c\u5c31\u4f1a\u7559\u4e0b\u6765\u4f5c\u4ed6\u7684\u59bb\u5b50\u3002\u542c\u4e86\u8001\u725b\u7684\u8bdd\uff0c\u725b\u90ce\u679c\u7136\u5077\u5077\u85cf\u8d77\u4e00\u4f4d\u4ed9\u5973\u7684\u8863\u88f3\uff0c\u7b49\u5230\u4ed9\u5973\u4eec\u6d17\u5b8c\u6fa1\u8981\u56de\u5929\u5bab\u65f6\uff0c\u5e74\u7eaa\u6700\u5c0f\u7684\u7ec7\u5973\u624d\u53d1\u73b0\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u8863\u88f3\u4e0d\u89c1\u4e86\uff0c\u6025\u5f97\u54ed\u4e86\u51fa\u6765\uff0c\u8fd9\u65f6\u725b\u90ce\u6367\u8457\u5979\u7684\u8863\u88f3\u51fa\u73b0\uff0c\u8981\u6c42\u7ec7\u5973\u7b54\u5e94\u4f5c\u4ed6\u7684\u59bb\u5b50\u624d\u628a\u8863\u88f3\u8fd8\u5979,\u7ec7\u5973\u770b\u725b\u90ce\u5fe0\u539a\u8001\u5b9e\uff0c\u4fbf\u7b54\u5e94\u4e86\uff0c\u4e24\u4eba\u5a5a\u540e\u751f\u4e86\u4e00\u53cc\u5b50\u5973\uff0c\u751f\u6d3b\u5341\u5206\u5e78\u798f\u7f8e\u6ee1\uff0c\u4f46\u8001\u725b\u5374\u6b7b\u4e86\uff0c\u5728\u6b7b\u524d\u5b83\u544a\u8bc9\u725b\u90ce\uff0c\u5728\u5b83\u6b7b\u540e\u5265\u4e0b\u5b83\u7684\u76ae\uff0c\u9047\u5230\u56f0\u96be\u65f6\u5c31\u4f1a\u6d3e\u4e0a\u7528\u573a\uff0c\u8fd9\u662f\u5b83\u6700\u540e\u80fd\u7559\u7ed9\u725b\u90ce\u7684\u552f\u4e00\u4e00\u4ef6\u4e1c\u897f\u3002\u800c\u7ec7\u5973\u5ac1\u7ed9\u725b\u90ce\u7684\u6d88\u606f\u4f20\u56de\u5929\u5ead\u540e\uff0c\u7389\u5e1d\u5927\u6012\uff0c\u9042\u6d3e\u738b\u6bcd\u5a18\u5a18\u628a\u7ec7\u5973\u7ed9\u6293\u56de\u6765\uff0c\u725b\u90ce\u4e3a\u4e86\u627e\u56de\u7ec7\u5973\uff0c\u60f3\u8d77\u4e86\u8001\u725b\u7684\u53ee\u549b\uff0c\u5c31\u62ab\u4e0a\u725b\u76ae\u9760\u8457\u725b\u76ae\u7684\u795e\u5947\u9b54\u529b\u8ffd\u4e0a\u4ed6\u4eec\uff0c\u6b64\u65f6\u738b\u6bcd\u5a18\u5a18\u5fc3\u4e00\u6025\uff0c\u62d4\u4e0b\u5934\u4e0a\u7684\u7c2a\u5b50\u5f80\u7a7a\u4e2d\u4e00\u5212\uff01\u9a6c\u4e0a\u51fa\u73b0\u4e86\u4e00\u9053\u6ce2\u6d9b\u6c79\u6d8c\u7684\u5929\u6cb3\uff0c\u628a\u725b\u90ce\u548c\u7ec7\u5973\u5206\u9694\u4e24\u8fb9\uff0c\u725b\u90ce\u548c\u4e00\u53cc\u513f\u5973\u5728\u6cb3\u8fb9\u5927\u54ed\uff0c\u5176\u6df1\u523b\u7684\u611f\u60c5\u4e5f\u4ee4\u7389\u5e1d\u52a8\u5bb9\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u7279\u8d66\u4ed6\u4eec\u5168\u5bb6\u6bcf\u5e74\u4e03\u6708\u4e03\u65e5\u76f8\u4f1a\u4e00\u6b21\u3002\u4e8e\u662f\u6bcf\u5e74\u5230\u4e86\u4e03\u5915\uff0c\u5c31\u6709\u65e0\u6570\u7684\u559c\u9e4a\u98de\u4e0a\u5929\u53bb\uff0c\u642d\u8d77\u4e00\u5ea7\u9e4a\u6865\uff0c\u8ba9\u725b\u90ce\u548c\u7ec7\u5973\u4e00\u5bb6\u6e21\u6cb3\u76f8\u4f1a\uff0c\u8bf4\u4e03\u5915\u5f53\u5929\u665a\u4e0a\u4e00\u5b9a\u4f1a\u4e0b\u96e8\uff0c\u8fd9\u5c31\u662f\u725b\u90ce\u7ec7\u5973\u91cd\u9022\u540e\u559c\u6781\u800c\u6ce3\u7684\u6cea\u6c34&#8230;
