The Sihu of the Mo<em><\/em>ngol nation is one of the most distinctive musical instruments, and includes treble, alto and bass versions. Treble Sihu has a brisk and clear tone, so it is suitable for both solo and ensemble pieces. The alto and bass Sihu both have a deep and mellow tone, so they are suitable for playing lyrical musical pieces, and are mainly used to accompany the Keerqin Uliger (ballads) and Holboo. These instruments play a very im<em><\/em>portant role in the cultural life of the Mo<em><\/em>ngolian group. Representative pieces of Sihu music include Ganlu (Hurrying), Bayin (Eight tunes),and Asier for big Sihu, Modeliema, Curved Grapevine and Heying Flower for little Sihu, etc. The music of the Sihu is highly expressive, profound, melodious, simple, and pure. It is the greatest musical creation of the Mo<em><\/em>ngolian people, who are most famous for leading an agricultural-nomadic life. As such, the simplicity and purity of the Sihu music is well suited to the Mo<em><\/em>ngolian lifestyle. Studying the Sihu is also of extremely high value in terms of academic research, learning a<em><\/em>bout Mo<em><\/em>ngolian history, culture and customs, not to mention the cross-cultural transmission potential.<br \/>  \u5143\u671d\u4ee5\u540e\uff0c\u56db\u80e1\u827a\u672f\u5e7f\u6cdb\u6d41\u4f20\uff0c\u66fe\u4e00\u5ea6\u98ce\u9761\u4e8e\u5185\u8499\u53e4\u81ea\u6cbb\u533a\u3001\u8fbd\u5b81\u3001\u5409\u6797\u3001\u9ed1\u9f99\u6c5f\u548c\u534e\u5317\u7b49\u6c49\u65cf\u805a\u5c45\u5730\u533a\uff0c\u5bf9\u6c49\u65cf\u6c11\u95f4\u8bf4\u5531\u4ea7\u751f\u4e86\u6df1\u8fdc\u7684\u5f71\u54cd\u3002\u4f4d\u4e8e\u79d1\u5c14\u6c81\u8349\u539f\u8179\u5730\u7684\u901a\u8fbd\u5e02\u662f\u76ee\u524d\u56db\u80e1\u827a\u672f\u6700\u4e3a\u7e41\u76db\u7684\u5730\u533a\u3002<br \/>  After the Yuan Dynasty, the art of Sihu was found across a wide area, and was o<em><\/em>nce very popular in the Inner Mo<em><\/em>ngolian Auto<em><\/em>nomous Region, Liaoning, Jilin and Heilo<em><\/em>ngjiang provinces, as well as Han-inhabited areas in North China. It has exerted a deep influence on the folk ballads of the Han nationality.
