Chinese characters are formed in the following 7 different ways.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Single structured such as <\/span><\/span>\u96e8<\/span> <\/span><\/span>y<\/span>\u016d<\/span> <\/span>rain<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Left and right structured such as <\/span><\/span>\u597d<\/span>h<\/span>\u0103o <\/span><\/span>good<\/span><\/i>, which is formed by the radical<\/span>\u5973<\/span>   n<\/span>\u01da <\/span><\/span>woman<\/span><\/i> <\/span>and the character<\/span>\u5b50<\/span> <\/span><\/span>z<\/span>\u012d <\/span><\/span>child<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Left, middle and right structured such as<\/span>\u7ca5<\/span> <\/span>zh\u014du <\/span>porridge<\/i>, which is formed by the character <\/span><\/span>\u7c73<\/span>m\u012d <\/span>rice<\/i>, placed between two characters of <\/span><\/span>\u5f13<\/span>g\u014dng <\/span>bow<\/i>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Top and base structured such as <\/span><\/span>\u534e<\/span>huá <\/span>China<\/i>, which is formed by the character <\/span><\/span>\u5316<\/span>huà to <\/span>transform <\/span><\/i>or <\/span>convert<\/i> <\/span>and the radical <\/span><\/span>\u5341<\/span>shí <\/span><\/span>ten<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Top, middle and base structured such as <\/span><\/span>\u9f3b<\/span> <\/span><\/span>bí <\/span>nose<\/i>, which is formed by <\/span><\/span>\u81ea<\/span>zì <\/span>oneself<\/i> <\/span><\/span>\u7530<\/span>tián <\/span>field<\/i> <\/span>and the radical <\/span><\/span>\u5efe<\/span> <\/span><\/span>which means to join hands.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Half enclosure structured such as <\/span><\/span>\u533b<\/span> <\/span>y\u012b <\/span>medicine<\/i>, <\/span>cure<\/i>, which is formed by the radical<\/span>\u531a<\/span> <\/span><\/span>which means basket and the character <\/span><\/span>\u77e2<\/span> <\/span><\/span>sh\u012d <\/span>arrow<\/i>; <\/span><\/span>\u5468<\/span> <\/span><\/span>zh\u014du <\/span>circle<\/i>, which is formed by the radical<\/span>\u5182<\/span>which means boarders and the character <\/span><\/span>\u5409<\/span> <\/span>jí  <\/span>auspicious<\/span><\/i>; <\/span><\/span>\u51f6<\/span> <\/span>xi\u014dng <\/span>inauspicious<\/i>, which is formed by X and the radical<\/span>\u51f5<\/span> <\/span>which means receptacle.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Enclosure structured such as <\/span><\/span>\u56fd<\/span> <\/span><\/span>guó <\/span><\/span>state<\/span><\/i>, which is formed by the character <\/span><\/span>\u7389<\/span> <\/span><\/span>yù <\/span>jade<\/i> <\/span>and the radical <\/span><\/span>\u56d7<\/span> <\/span>which means enclosure.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Some characters have components which hint of the pronunciation of the characters. For instance, as it demonstrates above in 4: <\/span><\/span>\u534e<\/span>, one of the components of the character has a similar pronunciation as the character<\/span>\u534e<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
