打折(dăzhé) discount Usage: “打折”是在原价的基础上，给消费者一些优惠、折扣，在中国，如果说“打七折”，那么消费者花的钱就是：原价*70%。“打折” is a way of giving consumers a discount on the original price. In China, if someone says “打七折,” then the consumer needs to pay the original price times 70%.

范儿 (fànr) style, manner Usage:  “范儿”就是“劲头”、“派头”，指在外貌、行为、或是在某种风格上特别不错，有点相近于“有气质”、“有情调”，现在的“范儿”也有风格的意思，用来形容明星的风格、个人品位等。“范儿” means " energy " " manner", which refers that one is god in appearance, behavior, or in a certain style. It is a bit similar to “temperament ". Now it is also used to describe the style of a star, personal taste, etc.

Usage:

休假 (xiū jià) to go on vacation Usage: “休假”指法律规定或者依法订立的协议所规定的每工作一定时间必须休息的时间，常见的休假有公休日、年假和法定节假日等。有时做动词，意思是在假期休息。“休假” refers to off-days from work as mandated by law or contractual agreement. Common vacation days include public holidays, annual leave and statutory holidays. It can be used as a verb that means to rest while on vacation.

路边摊 (lùbiān tān) roadside stalls Usage: “路边摊”，路边的小摊，指随意在某个人多的地方卖东西的摊子，主要卖一些服装、小饰品、小吃之类，路边摊的时间和地点都不固定。“路边摊” refers to roadside stalls set up in areas with lots of pedestrian traffic. The merchants primarily sell clothing, trinkets and snacks. The location of their stalls and hours of operation are generally not fixed.

促销(cùxiāo) promotion Usage:
“促销”是指企业为提高自己商品在市场上的占有率而进行的各种推销活动。比如通过广告宣传、降价等。The word “促销” refers to activities carried out by businesses that want to improve their market share. Some examples include advertising, price cuts, and so on.

催生 (cuī shēng) to hasten child delivery   Usage: “催生”指医生根据医学上的需要，为孕妇实施一些措施以达到使胎儿早点出生的过程，现在引申为“因为某些原因，加速形成了当前状态”的意思。“催生” refers to when doctors implement measures to induce an early birth according to the medical needs of a pregnant woman, and now is interpreted as forcing something into its current state for certain reasons.
