大选 (dà xuǎn) general election Usage: “大选”在当代社会，指的是某些国家或地区对议员或总统等的选举。不同国家的大选具体含义不同。In modern society, “大选” refers to the parliamentary or presidential elections of certain countries or regions. In different countries, the specific meaning of a general election is different.

软肋(ruǎnlèi)  soft spot Usage: 人身体中的软肋是脆弱的，容易遭受破坏，因此“软肋”指人或事情的薄弱之处。Rib cartilage in the human body is fragile and easily damaged. As such, “软肋” means the weaknesses of someone or something (similar to one’s Achilles’ heel).

绝活 (juéhuó) unique skill Usage: “绝活”一般是个人独创、独具特色、别人难以掌握的本领。比如：吉尼斯纪录保持者都有着某方面的绝活。“绝活” is a unique skill, one that is an original creation and not easily learned by others. For example, some Guinness world record holders have “绝活.”
