China halted imports of milk powder from Australia

China has halted imports of all milk powder from New Zealand and Australia after bacteria that can cause botulism was found in some dairy products.
While there was no official word of a ban from Chinese authorities, China’s consumer watchdog named four companies that had imported potentially contaminated products from Fonterra.
In a statement on its website, the general administration of quality supervision, inspection and quarantine identified the companies as Dumex Baby Food, two subsidiaries of Wahaha Group, one of the largest beverage manufacturers in China, and the state-owned Shanghai Sugar, Tobacco and Alcohol company.
Other countries also were reportedly halting imports and ordering recalls of New Zealand-made dairy products. In New Zealand, Nutricia, a division of Danone, recalled some types of infant formulas sold under the Karicare brand.
The bacteria behind the latest scare, Clostridium Botulinum, is often found in soil. The Fonterra case was caused by a dirty pipe at a processing plant.
It can cause botulism, a potentially fatal disease that affects the muscles and can cause respiratory problems. Infant botulism can attack the intestinal system. This is the second contamination issue involving Fonterra this year.

Strawberry Day in China

Who don't know what a strawberry day is, it is a current term that I have put into creation(you can refer to something that someone has made as a creation, especially if it shows skill, imagination, or artistic ability) that refers to not a good but also not a bad day. You know, sometimes when you eat a strawberry it's nice and sweet, and some times when you eat them they're sour as can be, and sometimes you get one that's just in between sweet and sour, and it's just good enough to not spit out. That's what a strawberry day is, it's in between good and bad. And it just so happens that on this strawberry day, I went strawberry picking.

All train rides in China

I enjoy having fun as much as the next guy, I really do. You ask me to go rock climbing, I’m down. You ask me to go jump over some fire, why not! You ask me to jump off a cliff into water, and you know what I’ll do it, you know why? Because all those things, granted are a little dangerous, but really fun! However, I believe everything has a line, and yes I cross that line a lot, but you know what when it comes to fun sometimes that line should be deeply etched into the ground, I draw that line when comes to riding trains in China! I see that line and I respect it, but sometimes I have to go and cross it.

Glamorous autumn landscape painting in Guilin

The October marks the harvest time of paddy(a paddy or a paddy field is a field that is kept flooded with water and is used for growing rice) rice in Guilin(桂林Guìlín); it is also the golden season for our hiking lovers. Recently, I joined a hiking trip organized by a Hiking Club and had the opportunity to admire the idyllic scenery of Huixian County (会仙乡) in Lingui (临桂), a part of Guilin. Azure sky, golden waves of rice paddies, and simple folk customs, left us very good memories.
