Overheard — Qiètīng Fēngyún Overheard (Chinese: 窃听风云; pinyin: Qiètīnɡ Fēnɡyún) is a 2009 Hong Kong crime thriller film written and directed by Alan Mak and Felix Chong, and produced by Henry Fong and Derek Yee. The film stars Lau Ching-Wan, Louis Koo and Daniel Wu as a trio of police officers conducting surveillance on a public company. The film was released theatrically in Hong Kong on 30 July 2009. 

Infernal Affairs — Wú Jiàn Dào Infernal Affairs (Chinese: 无间道, Pinyin: Wú Jiàn Dào) is a 2002 Hong Kong crime-thriller film directed by Andrew Lau and Alan Mak. It tells the story of a police officer who infiltrates the triads, and a police officer secretly working for the same gang. The Chinese title means "the non-stop way", a reference to Avici, the lowest level of hell in Buddhism. The English title is a word play combining the law enforcement term "internal affairs" with the adjective infernal. Due to its commercial and critical success, Infernal Affairs was followed by a prequel, Infernal Affairs II, and a sequel, Infernal Affairs III, both released in 2003.

A Simple Life — Táo Jiě  A Simple Life (Chinese: 桃姐; Pinyin: Táo Jiě, literally means Sister Peach), is a 2011 Hong Kong drama film directed by Ann Hui and starring Andy Lau and Deanie Ip. Ip, in the titled role as Sister Peach, won the Best Actress Award in the 68th Venice International Film Festival. Originally, this film was decided to be the last work of Ann Hui. However, with the film's big success, Ann Hui changed her mind and be willing to continue her career.

Shīliàn 33 tiān — Love Is Not Blind  Love Is Not Blind (Chinese name: 失恋33天, Shīliàn 33 tiān) is a Chinese romantic comedy film directed by Teng Huatao. The film is adapted from a novel online written by Bao Jingjing which has been popular among cyber friends since its appearance. Considering the popularity, Teng changed the novel to a movie, which was said to be prepared specially for Nov.11–the Singles' Day in China. It was reported that the movie had made a profit amounting to 200,000,000 yuan only one week after its theatrical release. Now Teng is considering adapting the novel into a TV play.

Suìyuè Shéntōu — Echoes of the Rainbow Echoes of the Rainbow (Chinese name: 岁月神偷; pinyin: Suìyuè Shéntōu; literally "Time, the Thief") is a 2010 Hong Kong drama film directed by Alex Law and starring Simon Yam and Sandra Ng. It tells the story of a working family in Hong Kong whose eldest son, a popular boy and star athlete, becomes ill with leukemia.

A simple life sees an elderly woman, after some 60 years as a servant, become ill and move to a retirement home. There, despite the collection of interesting characters, her world appears to shrink and collapse and she lives for the moments when Roger comes to visit. Through these visits he in turn understands that the woman has come to mean rather more to him than simply servant.
